Amit Shah, J P Nadda to inaugurate BJP office in Guwahati, address rally

Union Home Minister and BJP president JP Nadda will inaugurate the party's newly-constructed state office at Beltola in the Assam capital and address a rally of party workers on Saturday, according to their scheduled programmes. Nadda will depart from the state after that, while Shah will proceed to hold a meeting on narcotics with the chief ministers, chief secretaries and director-generals of police of the Northeastern states. The Union minister, who is on a three-day visit to Assam from Friday, will also chair a review meeting on the North Eastern Space Application Centre (NESAC) in the evening. On Sunday, Shah will offer prayers at Kamakhya Temple and address the plenary session of the North East Council (NEC) at the Administrative Staff College. He will leave for Dergaon in Golaghat district to inaugurate the state-level superintendents of police conference on Sunday afternoon. He will then leave for New Delhi from Jorhat airport.

BJP president J P Nadda will address panchayat level party workers during his two-day visit to Odisha scheduled to begin on September 29. Nadda, who will be visiting the state for the first time after becoming the BJP chief, will also meet office bearers, MLAs, MPs, and district presidents of the Odisha unit of the saffron party, BJP state general secretary Golak Mohapatra told reporters here. After he arrives at the Biju Patnaik International Airport here at 10 am on September 29, he will address party workers at Janata Maidan, Mohapatra said. Bharatiya Janata Party chief J P Nadda will hold meetings with senior Gujarat BJP leaders at the state party headquarters in Gandhinagar on Wednesday, a local party leader said. Nadda is on a two-day visit to BJP-ruled Gujarat from Tuesday ahead of the state Assembly elections due in December this year.
