A preliminary probe into the murder of a minor girl by a 20-year-old youth in northwest Delhi's Shahbad Dairy has revealed that the youth was enraged by his break up with the victim and was further infuriated with the fight the two had, triggering him to launch the fatal assault, police said on Monday. Police arrested Sahil from Bulandshahr after a call from his aunt to his father was traced to his location to the Uttar Pradesh district, they said. Sahil brutally killed a 16-year-old girl Sunday evening by stabbing her over 20 times and bludgeoning her to death with a cement slab. In all, the girl, Sakshi, was found to have 34 wound marks on her body and her skull was ruptured. The final autopsy report is awaited, police said. Police on Friday filed a charge sheet against Sadakat Khan, an accused in the killing of Umesh Pal and his two security guards, officials said here. Umesh Pal, a key witness in the 2005 murder of BSP MLA Raju Pal, and his two guards were shot dead outside his home in Prayagraj's Dhoomanganj area on February 24 this year. Government counsel Gulab Chandra Agrahari said that on the complaint of Umesh Pal's wife Jaya Pal, police had registered a case under multiple IPC sections, including 302 (murder), 307 (attempt to murder) and 506 (criminal intimidation), as well as the Explosives Act. The case was filed against gangster-turned-politician Atiq Ahmad, his brother Ashraf, his wife Shaista Parveen, two sons, aides Guddu Muslim and Ghulam, and nine others, Agrahari said. A Delhi court on Monday extended by two weeks the judicial custody of five people accused in the hit-and-run case in which a 20-year-old woman was dragged to death while trapped under a car in the national capital. The court extended the judicial custody of Deepak Khanna, Amit Khanna, Krishan, Mithun and Manoj Mittal till February 6. The Delhi Police has prepared a draft of 3,000 page-chargesheet containing a list of 100 witnesses in the grisly Shraddha Walkar murder case, sources said on Sunday. The draft chargesheet, likely to be filed soon, has been sent for legal opinion, they said. The chargesheet contains a list of forensic evidence that the police have collected apart from the DNA reports that established the identity of the victim. Walkar, 27, was allegedly strangled, her body chopped into 35 pieces and disposed of in various parts of Delhi by her live-in partner Aaftab Amin Poonawala. A court here on Tuesday extended for 14 days the judicial custody of Aaftab Amin Poonawala, accused of killing his live-in partner Shraddha Walkar and dismembering her body.
