No criminal who attacks the dreams of the youth will be spared, he said while addressing a programme in Kotdi of Shahpura. "So far, 115 people have been arrested by the Special Investigation Team (SIT) in the paper leak cases. Not only small fishes but also crocodiles are being caught in these cases," he said. Sharma said the state government is continuously working to bring all the promises made in the Sankalp Patra and the budget on the ground. The Rajasthan Cabinet on Wednesday approved 33 per cent reservation to women in the police force and five per cent additional allowance to pensioners. The meeting, chaired by Chief Minister Bhajanlal Sharma, also approved a proposal to allot land for a 3,150 MW solar power project. Telecom operator Bharti Airtel on Wednesday said it has deployed more spectrum across all 50 districts in Rajasthan, boosting 5G/4G network capacities to spruce up voice and data connectivity for subscribers in the state. The deployment will also widen Airtel coverage along highways and rail routes and increase its footprint in rural areas amid an exponential rise in the demand for connectivity. An Airtel release said the company has completed the deployment of the additional spectrum it acquired in July 2024. The additional spectrum has been deployed across all 50 districts in the state. A fighter aircraft of the Indian Air Force crashed in Barmer district of Rajasthan on Monday night, police said. According to initial information, the pilot is safe, Superintendent of Police Narendra Meena said. "The plane crashed tonight in Barmer. The incident happened away from a populated area," the SP told PTI. He said no loss of life has been reported so far. Former Rajasthan Public Service Commission (RPSC) member Ramuram Raika has been arrested by the Special Operations Group (SOG) of the Rajasthan Police in connection with sub-inspector recruitment paper leak, an official said. The SOG had on Sunday arrested Raika's son and daughter besides three other trainees for their involvement in the paper leak and securing a position in the exam. "The former RPSC member was arrested late on Sunday for providing the sub-inspector recruitment exam paper to his children," ADG SOG VK Singh told PTI on Monday. Raika will be presented before the court on Monday for seeking police remand. Power Grid on Wednesday said it has acquired a project-specific special purpose vehicle for evacuation of power from Bhadla-III power station in Rajasthan. In a BSE filing, Power Grid said it emerged as the successful bidder for the said project after competing with other private sector players in a tariff-based competitive bidding (TBCB) process. "Power Grid has acquired Bhadla-III Power Transmission for establishing the transmission system associated with additional transmission system for evacuation of power from Bhadla-III PS as Part of Rajasthan REZ Phase-III Scheme (20 GW)," it said. The Project is an Inter State Transmission System Project and is to be commissioned in 18 months from the date of transfer of the SPV.
Private bus operators of Rajasthan went on a one-day strike on Tuesday to press for their multiple demands, including increase in fare, simplification of the process for issuing temporary permits and tax waiver for buses unable to operate in rural areas due to rainfall, among others. There are nearly 30,000 private buses across the state which are not operating due to the strike today, Satyanarayan Sahu, president of the Bus Operators Association Rajasthan, said. These buses will not operate from 6 am to 8 pm on Tuesday, Sahu said. The bus operators are holding protests at various locations across the state, including Sindhi Camp here from where several private buses operate. "We have listed 24 points in our demand list, which were submitted to the Transport Department. There is resentment among the bus operators for not fulfilling the demands," Sahu said.
