Reliance Jio has picked a playful banter with Airtel on social media on Valentine's Day, asking the customers of the rival telco not to ignore "red" flags in their relationship, dishing out the flirtatious 'call me' pick up line. In reply, Airtel shared its campaign "Sab Kuch Try Karo, Fir Sahi Chuno" (Try everything, then choose right). "Dear @airtelindia users, This Valentine's, don't ignore the 'RED' flags in your relationship. It's time to move on from your 'Ex'-stream. Here's my number 60008-60008. Call me maybe," Reliance Jio said on X. Jio often comes out with banter on the eve of Valentine's Day. Jio cements market lead, adds 3.45 mn mobile subscribers in Nov: Trai data

Reliance Jio moved to a higher gear adding 34.5 lakh mobile subscribers in November, improving on its October gains, as rival Bharti Airtel garnered about 17.5 lakh new wireless users, according to TRAI data released on Monday. Vodafone Idea, however, slipped further losing 10.7 lakh subscribers in November, the monthly subscriber data by Telecom Regulatory Authority of India (TRAI) showed. The ailing telco's wireless subscriber base shrank to 22.44 crore in November. Reliance Jio's addition of 34.47 lakh mobile subscribers pushed up its wireless subscriber tally to 45.58 crore as on November. Mobile subscribers added by the country's largest telecom services provider Jio in November were higher than its user gains in October (about 31.6 lakh). After garnering mobile subscriber additions of 17.47 lakh, the subscriber count of Bharti Airtel in the wireless category stood at 37.98 crore.

Telecom major Reliance Jio and Chinese smartphone company OnePlus have joined hands to set up a 5G innovation lab in India. "The alliance between OnePlus and Jio aims to provide OnePlus and Jio True 5G users differentiated features and an unparalleled network experience. "To bolster these initiatives, both brands are excited to announce the establishment of a state-of-the-art 5G Innovation Lab," OnePlus said in a statement on Thursday. The lab will serve as a hub for testing and developing new technologies. Reliance Jio leads the India market in terms of 5G coverage. Jio continues to remain country's strongest brand for 2024: Report

Jio, the telecom and digital arm of billionaire Mukesh Ambani's Reliance, continues to be the strongest Indian brand, ahead of likes of Life Insurance Corporation and State Bank of India, according to the latest report 'Global-500 2024' published by Brand Finance. Jio had topped India's strong brands in Brand Finance's 2023 rankings as well. In the 2024 ranking, Jio is placed at the 17th position among the world's strongest brands with a Brand Strength Index of 88.9 in the list led by WeChat, YouTube, Google, Deloitte, Coca Cola and Netflix. Jio, IIT-B collaborate on 'Bharat GPT', Akash Ambani announces TV OS launch

Reliance Jio Infocomm chairman Akash Ambani on Wednesday said the country's largest telco is working with Indian Institute of Technology-Bombay to launch a 'Bharat GPT' programme.
