Royal Enfield total sales increases by 26% to 77,109 units in June

Royal Enfield on Saturday said its total sales increased by 26 per cent to 77,109 units in June. The company dispatched 61,407 units to dealers in June 2022. Domestic sales rose 34 per cent to 67,495 units compared to 50,265 units in the year-ago period, the bike maker said in a statement. Exports, however, declined to 9,614 units last month from 11,142 units in June 2022. "Our recent products continue to perform well across India and International markets, and we are optimistic that our exciting line-up of motorcycles will definitely enthral the pure motorcycling enthusiasts across the globe," Royal Enfield CEO B Govindarajan stated.

Royal Enfield with Triveni Group starts operation of assembly unit in Nepal

Motorcycle maker Royal Enfield on Friday announced the commencement of operations of its assembly unit in Nepal. The unit has been set up in collaboration with the Triveni Group of Nepal. The complete knocked down (CKD) assembly unit has an annual capacity of 20,000 units. It will begin operations with local assembly of the new Classic 350 and the SCRAM 411 for Nepal, Royal Enfield said in a statement. "Located in Birgunj, the new facility is the Royal Enfield's fifth CKD assembly unit in the world - after Brazil, Thailand, Colombia and Argentina," the company said. Royal Enfield CEO B Govindarajan said, "This new CKD facility in Nepal is in line with our ambitious global expansion strategy of investing in markets with huge potential to grow." The motorcycle market in Nepal is on a confident rebound journey, and Royal Enfield sees huge potential for the market to grow substantially, the company said. Royal Enfield sales rise 22% in May at 77,461 units, domestic sale rise 32%

Motorcycle manufacturer Royal Enfield on Thursday said its total sales increased 22 per cent to 77,461 units in May as compared with 63,643 units in the year-ago period. Domestic wholesales increased 32 per cent to 70,795 units as against 53,525 units in May 2022. Exports however declined 34 per cent to 6,666 units last month from 10,118 units in the year-ago period. "At Royal Enfield, we have been able to maintain excellent momentum. Hunter continues to perform very well and has registered highest ever sales in a single month," company CEO B Govindarajan said in a statement.

Royal Enfield looking to roll out uniquely differentiated e-bikes: CEO

Royal Enfield is developing 'uniquely differentiated electric motorcycles' and has already started investing towards product development and creating a supplier ecosystem around its Chennai-based plant, according to CEO B Govindarajan. The company, which is part of Eicher Motors, has announced a capex of Rs 1,000 crore for the current fiscal with a focus on various aspects, including EV manufacturing and product development. Part of the capex would also go into the rolling out of new products from the company's existing internal combustion engine portfolio. "On the EV journey, we have been making steady progress. I can say Royal Enfield's EV journey is in the top gear now. Motorcycle maker Royal Enfield sales grow 18% to 73,136 units in April

Motorcycle maker Royal Enfield on Monday reported an 18 per cent growth in total sales at 73,136 units in April 2023 compared to 62,155 units in the same month last year. Domestic sales grew 28 per cent to 68,881 units from 53,852 units in the year-ago month, the company said in a statement. Exports, however, declined by 49 per cent last month to 4,255 units compared to 8,303 months in April 2022. Royal Enfield CEO B Govindarajan said the company has begun FY24 on a confident footing after closing FY23 on a high note. The company has recently launched its Hunter 350 and the Scram 411 models in the USA and Latin American markets, he said, adding "I am sure that these motorcycles will continue to perform well and strengthen our foothold in these markets".

Royal Enfield records increase in total sales by 7% at 72,235 units in Mar

Motorcycle maker Royal Enfield on Saturday reported a 7 per cent growth in total sales at 72,235 units in March, as compared to 67,677 units in the same month last year. Domestic sales were at 59,884 units in the month under review, as against 58,477 units in the year-ago month, a growth of 2 per cent, the company said in a statement. Exports grew 34 per cent last month at 12,351 units, as compared to 9,200 months in March 2022. For the fiscal 2022-23, Royal Enfield said it posted a 39 per cent growth with a record total sales of 8,34,895 motorcycles. The company's sales stood at 6,02,268 units in FY22. Exports were also at record high at 1,00,055 units in FY23, as compared to 81,032 units in FY22, up 23 per cent. Royal Enfield sales fall 7% to 68,400 units in Dec, domestic sales down 8%

Motorcycle maker Royal Enfield on Sunday reported a 7 per cent decline in total sales at 68,400 units in December 2022. The company had sold 73,739 units a year ago, Royal Enfield said in a statement. Domestic sales were down 8 per cent last month to 59,821 units compared to 65,187 units in December 2021. Exports were almost flat at 8,579 units against 8,552 units in the year-ago period, the company said.
