ACME Solar Holdings Ltd on Tuesday announced it has secured a 400 MW/1,800 MWh firm and dispatchable renewable energy project from SJVN. The project has been secured at a tariff of INR 6.75/unit for 25 years, ACME Solar Holdings Ltd (ACME Solar) said in a statement. The tender was issued under Tariff-Based Competitive Bidding (TBCB) guidelines for which an e-reverse auction was held on October 9, 2025 and LoA was received on November 10. The project requires supplying power of only 4 MWh per MW of capacity during any four-hour period each day within the peak demand window with 90 per cent availability on a monthly basis. The project would integrate Solar of 300 MW and Battery Energy Storage System (BESS) technology of approximately 1800 MWh to meet the supply requirements. State-owned power producer SJVN Ltd on Wednesday said that the Phase-1 of the 1,000-MW Bikaner Solar power project, being set up by its arm SJVN Green Energy Ltd (SGEL), has started commercial power supply. The Phase-1 has started 241.77 MW commercial electricity supply, and the project is slated for full commissioning by September 30, 2025, a company statement said. State-owned NLC India Ltd (NLCIL) on Saturday said it has bagged a contract from SJVN Ltd to develop and operate a 200 MW wind power project. The project was secured through an e-reverse auction at a tariff of Rs 3.74 per kWh. A memorandum of understanding (MoU) worth around Rs 70 crore has been signed between the state Public Works Department (PWD) and SJVN Ltd for the widening of various road projects in Himachal Pradesh on Monday. State-owned SJVN generated 8,489 million units (MUs) of green energy from its operational hydro, solar and wind power stations in 2023-24, a top company official said. SJVN CMD Sushil Sharma made the remarks at the company's 36th Annual General Meeting (AGM) for the 2023-24 financial year. "Despite facing challenging hydrological conditions due to climate change, SJVN demonstrated resilience in its operations. In FY24, the company generated 8,489 MUs from its operational hydro, solar and wind power stations," a company statement quoted Sharma as saying. The power stations set new records, including highest-ever daily generation of 39.570 million units (MU) and 10.971 MU by 1,500 MW NJHPS (Nathpa Jhakri Hydro Power Station) and 412 MW Rampur HPS, respectively, in July 2023. State-owned hydropower company SJVN on Tuesday posted 31 per cent rise in consolidated net profit at Rs 357.09 crore during June quarter, on account of higher income. It had reported a net profit of Rs 271.75 crore during the April-June period of the preceding financial year, the company said in an exchange filing. The company increased its total income to Rs 958.47 crore during the quarter from Rs 744.39 crore in the year-ago period. Its expenses stood at Rs 476.39 crore as against Rs 362.60 crore in the first quarter last fiscal. SJVN further said that "its board of directors has accorded in-principle approval for monetisation through securitisation of partial future revenue/return on equity of the Nathpa Jhakri Hydro Power Station (NJHPS) of the company." The company reported a consolidated net profit of Rs 17.21 crore in the year-ago period, a BSE filing showed. India's first multi-purpose green hydrogen pilot project at 1,500 MW Nathpa Jhakri Hydro Power Station (NJHPS) in Himachal's Jhakri was inaugurated on Wednesday, according to Satluj Jal Vidyut Nigam (SJVN) officials. SJVN Chairman and Managing Director Geeta Kapur inaugurated a 20Nm3/hr electrolyzer and 25kW fuel cell capacity-based green hydrogen pilot project, a statement issued here said. State-owned SJVN Ltd on Wednesday said it has received a letter of intent from Gujarat Urja Vias Nigam Ltd to set up a 200 megawatt (MW) solar power project. The tentative cost of construction and development of this project is Rs 1,100 crore, SJVN CMD Geeta Kapur said in a company statement. "SJVN has received the Letter of Intent (LOI) from Gujarat Urja Vikas Nigam Limited (GUVNL) for 200 MW Solar Power Project in GUVNL Phase XXII," it said. The ground-mounted solar project shall be developed by SJVN subsidiary SJVN Green Energy Limited (SGEL) anywhere in India through an EPC contract. The Power Purchase Agreement (PPA) shall be executed with GUVNL after the adoption of the tariff by GERC (Gujarat Electricity Regulatory Commission), it said.
