Steyn hits career-best 60 to rescue South Africa

Dale Steyn shone with the bat on his return to one-day international cricket on Wednesday, helping South Africa avoid humiliation in the second one-day international against Zimbabwe at the Mangaung Oval. CAB will not back off from hosting the first Twenty20 between India and the West Indies on November 4, said President Sourav Ganguly, asserting that tickets will be distributed as per previous arrangement. The International Cricket Council (ICC) said Wednesday it is investigating "serious" allegations of corruption in Sri Lankan cricket. "We are currently in Sri Lanka as part of our ongoing investigations into serious allegations of corruption in cricket in the country. The enquiries are continuing so it would not be appropriate to comment further, but I can confirm that we have, at their request, provided a detailed briefing to the Sri Lankan President, Prime Minister and Sports Minister," ICC anti-corruption unit general manager Alex Marshall said in a statement. India-WI ODI free passes tussle: MCA adopting 'wait and watch' policy

The Mumbai Cricket Association Wednesday said it has adopted a wait and watch policy on the issue of complimentary passes for the October 29 India-West Indies ODI here but made it clear that the number allotted at this point is too low. The BCCI today shifted the second ODI from Indore to Visakhapatnam after the Madhya Pradesh Cricket Association expressed its inability to host the match on the issue of lower number of complimentary passes. Mumbai is scheduled to host the fourth ODI on October 29. As per the new BCCI constitution, 90 per cent tickets of the total capacity of the stadium should be put on sale and only 10 per cent be kept as complimentary tickets with state units. In case of Wankhede Stadium, its total capacity is 33,000.
