Prime Minister Narendra Modi will lay the foundation stone and dedicate to the nation multiple developmental projects worth more than Rs 13,500 crore and address a public meeting in Mahabubnagar district in Telangana on October 1. Godrej Agrovet to set up Rs 300 cr integrated palm oil complex in Telangana

Godrej Agrovet Ltd (GAVL) on Saturday said it will set up an integrated palm oil complex in Telangana with an investment of Rs 300 crore over the next 3-4 years. The palm oil complex, to be set up in the Khammam district of Telangana, is spread over 125 acres and will consist of a crude palm oil mill along with the provision of setting up a refinery in the near future, GAVL said in a statement. The company will also establish a nursery with a capacity of up to 7 lakh saplings per year in addition to the seed production and research unit, it added. "Telangana's ambitious oil palm mission aims to bring 20 lakh acres under cultivation across the state. The mission will improve income for more than 5 lakh farm households, while at the same time contributing to the nation's deficit for edible oils. PM Modi to address public rally in Telangana ahead of assembly polls

Prime Minister Narendra Modi will address a public meeting organised by the BJP at Mahabubnagar in Telangana on September 30, before the year end assembly polls. NIA raids 31 spots in TN, Telangana to foil ISIS-inspired recruitment drive

The National Investigation Agency on Saturday raided 31 locations in Tamil Nadu and Telangana to thwart a radicalisation and recruitment campaign by proscribed global terror group ISIS, an official said. Several digital devices, documents and incriminating books in vernacular and Arabic languages, and Rs 60 lakh as well as USD 18,200 in cash were seized during the searches, a spokesperson of the federal anti-terror agency said. The official said the agency is in the process of examining the data in the seized mobile phones, laptops and hard discs. NIA teams raided 22 locations in Coimbatore, three in Chennai and one in Kadaiyanallur of Tenkasi district in Tamil Nadu, and another five locations in Telengana's Hyderabad, the spokesperson said. Union Minister and BJP Telangana unit president G Kishan Reddy on Thursday concluded his 24-hour fast against the BRS government's alleged negligence towards unemployed youth. Former Union Minister Prakash Javadekar, who is BJP's election in-charge for Telangana, offered lime juice to Kishan Reddy marking the conclusion of the fast.
