Toyota records highest-ever monthly sales at 22,910 units in August

Toyota Kirloskar Motor (TKM) on Friday reported its best-ever monthly sales at 22,910 units in August. The company's total dispatches to dealers increased by 53 per cent last month to 22,910 units as compared with 14,959 units in August 2022. The company said it sold 20,970 units in the domestic market last month. Exports stood at 1,940 units last month, it added. "Strong sales volume and enhanced demand showcase customers' ever-growing affinity for the brand. Toyota Urban Cruiser Hyryder and Innova Hycross continue to register a strong demand," TKM Vice President of Sales, and Strategic Marketing Atul Sood said in a statement. The Innova Crysta, Fortuner and Legendar are witnessing sustained segment leadership, he added. "Encouraged by the overwhelming response to our entire portfolio, we are constantly working on expanding our product portfolio to offer customers wider choices. Toyota introduces Rumion, looks to bolster presence in MPV segment

Toyota Kirloskar Motor on Thursday introduced an all-new model Rumion in the country as it looks to further strengthen its position in the robustly growing domestic multi purpose vehicle (MPV) segment. The seven-seater model comes with a 1.5-litre petrol engine mated with a five-speed manual and six-speed automatic transmissions. It also features a CNG trim. Toyota Kirloskar Motor hikes vehicle prices by 1% due to rise in input cost

Toyota Kirloskar Motor (TKM) on Thursday said it has hiked the prices of its models by around 1 per cent in order to offset the impact of an increase in input cost. The company, which sells models like Innova Crysta and Fortuner, has realigned the prices of its models with effect from July 5, 2023, TKM said in a statement. The increase was necessitated to partially offset the rising input cost, it added. "As a customer-centric company, we remain committed to cater to the ever-evolving needs of the market and all efforts have been made to ensure that the impact of the cost increase passing on to our customers is minimal," it noted.

Toyota Kirloskar reports 19% rise in retail sales at 19,608 units in June

Toyota Kirloskar Motor (TKM) on Saturday said its wholesales increased 19 per cent to 19,608 units in June as compared with 16,512 units in the year ago period. Domestic dispatches stood at 18,237 units while overseas shipments rose to 1,371 units last month. "Ever since the launch of Urban Cruiser Hyryder and Innova Hycross, we are witnessing continued high acceptance by our customers," TKM Vice President (Sales and Strategic Marketing) Atul Sood said in a statement. These along with a consistent performance by the entire product portfolio Camry Hybrid, Fortuner, Legender, Vellfire, Glanza and the newly introduced Hilux, are enabling the company to sustain the positive performance, he added. The commencement of three shift operations at the manufacturing plant has played a vital role in enhancing operational capabilities and addressing the growing demand for the products, Sood noted.

Toyota Kirloskar commences 3rd shift at K'taka plant to enhance production

Toyota Kirloskar Motor has initiated a third shift at its Karnataka-based plant to enhance production capacity by around 30 per cent, as it looks to cut down waiting periods on some of its popular models like Innova Crysta and Fortuner. The automaker has commenced a third shift from the first week of May in its Plant 1 in Bidadi on the outskirts of Bengaluru to ramp up the manufacturing capacity. The company has invested over Rs 90 crore to upgrade the existing infrastructure at the facility and added around 1,500 workforce for the third shift at the plant. "We have commenced a third shift at the plant which produces models like Innova Crysta, Innova Hycross and Fortuner. These products have been quite successful and there is quite a long waiting period. Toyota Kirloskar sales dip 6% to 14,162 units owing to maintenance shutdown

Toyota Kirloskar Motor on Monday said its wholesales declined by 6 per cent to 14,162 units in April, owing to a week-long maintenance shutdown during the month. The company had dispatched 15,086 units in the domestic market in April 2022. The automaker also exported 1,348 units of the Urban Cruiser Hyryder in April. The company said it undertook a week-long maintenance shutdown from April 24-28, 2023 for the upkeep of machinery and equipment to sustain operational efficiencies, productivity and safety. Toyota Kirloskar Motor on Friday said it has decided to temporarily halt bookings of top trims of its multi purpose vehicle Innova Hycross from April 8, owing to ongoing supply challenges. "We deeply regret to announce the temporary halt of bookings for top-end grades of Innova Hycross (ZX and ZX (O) only, with effect from April 8, 2023," the automaker said in a statement. Toyota Kirloskar Motor sales increase by 9% to 18,670 units in March

Toyota Kirloskar Motor (TKM) on Saturday said its sales increased by 9 per cent year on year to 18,670 units in March. The company had sold 17,131 units in the domestic market in March 2022. For the 2022-23 fiscal, the automaker reported a 41 per cent increase in wholesales at 1,74,015 units from 1,23,770 units in 2021-22 fiscal. "We are extremely pleased to close this fiscal year on a positive note and expect continued momentum and growth in the fiscal of 2024-2025. Toyota Kirloskar wholesales rise 75% in February at 15,338 units

Toyota Kirloskar Motor (TKM) on Wednesday said its wholesales increased 75 per cent year-on-year to 15,338 units in February 2023. The company had dispatched 8,745 units in the domestic market in February last year. "We are witnessing a continued interest from customers across our product portfolio, resulting in a very healthy growth in the month of February 2023," TKM Sales and Strategic Marketing Vice President Atul Sood said in a statement. Public sector Indian Bank has inked a pact with automaker Toyota Kirloskar Motor to offer vehicle financial options to its customers, the bank said on Tuesday. Toyota Kirloskar Motor vehicle sales surges 175% to 12,835 units in January

Toyota Kirloskar Motor (TKM) on Wednesday reported a 175 per cent growth in vehicle sales at 12,835 units in January. The company had sold 7,328 units in the year-ago period, Toyota Kirloskar Motor said in a statement. "Even with a month-on-month strong growth of 175 per cent, we anticipate customer demand to gain further momentum in this year," Atul Sood, vice president, sales and strategic marketing at TKM, said. The carmaker had announced opening of bookings for its Hilux and the Innova Crysta models besides announcing the prices of the CNG variants of its Urban Cruiser Hyryder. Toyota Kirloskar Motor on Friday said it has commenced bookings for the updated version of its multipurpose vehicle Innova Crysta. The model now comes with a 2.4-litre diesel powertrain mated with a five speed manual transmission across four trims.
