Toyota Kirloskar reports 19% rise in retail sales at 19,608 units in June

Toyota Kirloskar Motor (TKM) on Saturday said its wholesales increased 19 per cent to 19,608 units in June as compared with 16,512 units in the year ago period. Domestic dispatches stood at 18,237 units while overseas shipments rose to 1,371 units last month. "Ever since the launch of Urban Cruiser Hyryder and Innova Hycross, we are witnessing continued high acceptance by our customers," TKM Vice President (Sales and Strategic Marketing) Atul Sood said in a statement. These along with a consistent performance by the entire product portfolio Camry Hybrid, Fortuner, Legender, Vellfire, Glanza and the newly introduced Hilux, are enabling the company to sustain the positive performance, he added. The commencement of three shift operations at the manufacturing plant has played a vital role in enhancing operational capabilities and addressing the growing demand for the products, Sood noted.

Toyota Kirloskar commences 3rd shift at K'taka plant to enhance production

Toyota Kirloskar Motor has initiated a third shift at its Karnataka-based plant to enhance production capacity by around 30 per cent, as it looks to cut down waiting periods on some of its popular models like Innova Crysta and Fortuner. The automaker has commenced a third shift from the first week of May in its Plant 1 in Bidadi on the outskirts of Bengaluru to ramp up the manufacturing capacity. The company has invested over Rs 90 crore to upgrade the existing infrastructure at the facility and added around 1,500 workforce for the third shift at the plant. "We have commenced a third shift at the plant which produces models like Innova Crysta, Innova Hycross and Fortuner. These products have been quite successful and there is quite a long waiting period. Toyota Kirloskar sales dip 6% to 14,162 units owing to maintenance shutdown

Toyota Kirloskar Motor on Monday said its wholesales declined by 6 per cent to 14,162 units in April, owing to a week-long maintenance shutdown during the month. The company had dispatched 15,086 units in the domestic market in April 2022. The automaker also exported 1,348 units of the Urban Cruiser Hyryder in April. The company said it undertook a week-long maintenance shutdown from April 24-28, 2023 for the upkeep of machinery and equipment to sustain operational efficiencies, productivity and safety. "The company is continuing to witness high demand as well as good enquiries, and needless to say we are extremely thrilled to see the market responding very positively," Toyota Kirloskar Motor Vice President, Sales and Strategic Marketing Atul Sood said in a statement. Toyota Kirloskar Motor (TKM) on Friday announced the launch of an online retail sales platform 'Wheels on Web' for the Bengaluru region. The platform enables customers to book, purchase and get delivery of Toyota vehicle models from their homes, TKM said in a statement. Further, it also provides real-time information on the status of their booked Toyota product, to augment credibility, and transparency, among others, it added. Planning to buy Innova Hycross? Toyota temporarily halts bookings

Toyota Kirloskar Motor on Friday said it has decided to temporarily halt bookings of top trims of its multi purpose vehicle Innova Hycross from April 8, owing to ongoing supply challenges. "We deeply regret to announce the temporary halt of bookings for top-end grades of Innova Hycross (ZX and ZX (O) only, with effect from April 8, 2023," the automaker said in a statement. The bookings of the other grades of Innova Hycross both the hybrid and gasoline, will continue, it added. Toyota Kirloskar Motor (TKM) had launched the Innova Hycross in November last year. The model is available in both self-charging strong hybrid electric variant [SHEV], as well as gasoline variant.

Toyota Kirloskar Motor sales increase by 9% to 18,670 units in March

Toyota Kirloskar Motor (TKM) on Saturday said its sales increased by 9 per cent year on year to 18,670 units in March. The company had sold 17,131 units in the domestic market in March 2022. For the 2022-23 fiscal, the automaker reported a 41 per cent increase in wholesales at 1,74,015 units from 1,23,770 units in 2021-22 fiscal. "We are extremely pleased to close this fiscal year on a positive note and expect continued momentum and growth in the fiscal of 2024-2025. "The passenger vehicles segment witnessed a steady growth last year, and TKM was prepared to ride the wave by making deeper inroads into the market to meet the varied mobility needs," TKM Vice President, Sales and Strategic Marketing Atul Sood said in a statement. Toyota Kirloskar wholesales rise 75% in February at 15,338 units

Toyota Kirloskar Motor (TKM) on Wednesday said its wholesales increased 75 per cent year-on-year to 15,338 units in February 2023. The company had dispatched 8,745 units in the domestic market in February last year. "We are witnessing a continued interest from customers across our product portfolio, resulting in a very healthy growth in the month of February 2023," TKM Sales and Strategic Marketing Vice President Atul Sood said in a statement. Leading this growth are the Urban Cruiser Hyryder and All New Innova Hycross, as the automaker strives to work with its partners to meet the demand, he added. Indian Bank ties up with Toyota Kirloskar Motor to offer vehicle financing

Public sector Indian Bank has inked a pact with automaker Toyota Kirloskar Motor to offer vehicle financial options to its customers, the bank said on Tuesday. The tie-up would offer various initiatives including 90 per cent on-road funding with no processing fee, foreclosure and party payment charges to prospective customers. Toyota Kirloskar Motor vehicle sales surges 175% to 12,835 units in January

Toyota Kirloskar Motor (TKM) on Wednesday reported a 175 per cent growth in vehicle sales at 12,835 units in January. The company had sold 7,328 units in the year-ago period, Toyota Kirloskar Motor said in a statement. "Even with a month-on-month strong growth of 175 per cent, we anticipate customer demand to gain further momentum in this year," Atul Sood, vice president, sales and strategic marketing at TKM, said. The carmaker had announced opening of bookings for its Hilux and the Innova Crysta models besides announcing the prices of the CNG variants of its Urban Cruiser Hyryder. The company has commenced dispatches of its Hycross SUV and is making efforts to meet the growing demand for the vehicle in the country, he said and added that its Urban Cruiser Hyryder also continues to witness healthy demand. Toyota commences bookings of new multipurpose diesel vehicle Innova Crysta

Toyota Kirloskar Motor on Friday said it has commenced bookings for the updated version of its multipurpose vehicle Innova Crysta. The model now comes with a 2.4-litre diesel powertrain mated with a five speed manual transmission across four trims. It can be booked for Rs 50,000 at company dealerships or online, Toyota Kirloskar Motor (TKM) said in a statement. The opening of bookings for the new Innova Crysta comes on the heels of the launch of the Innova HyCross (available in Gasoline and Strong Hybrid Electric powertrains). Toyota Kirloskar reports data breach, extent of intrustion not confirmed

Toyota Kirloskar Motor on Sunday reported a data breach in its system but said the extent of intrusion is being confirmed. In a statement, the company said it has been "notified by one of its service providers of an incident that might have exposed personal information" of some of its customers on the internet. "The extent of intrusion is being confirmed," Toyota Kirloskar Motor (TKM) said in a statement. The competent authority CERT-In (Indian Computer Emergency Response Team) under the Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology has been notified, it added. "Considering this incident, TKM will work with its service provider to further enhance the existing extensive guidelines being followed and is fully committed to avoid any kind of inconvenience to our esteemed customers," the company said, apologising "for any concern" the incident may have caused to its customers.

Toyota Kirloskar Motor sales drop 3.8% to 10,421 units in December

Toyota Kirloskar Motor on Sunday reported a 3.8 per cent decline in its dispatches to dealers at 10,421 units in December 2022. The company had clocked wholesales of 10,834 units in December 2021, Toyota Kirloskar Motor (TKM) said in a statement. For the calendar year 2022, total wholesales were at 1,60,357 units as against 1,30,768 units in 2021, a growth of 23 per cent. The sales in 2022 were also the company's highest wholesales in the last 10 years, it said, adding the previous record was in 2012 with a total of 1,72,241 units. Toyota Motor's new Innova HyCross priced at Rs 18.30 lakh onwards

Toyota Kirloskar Motor on Wednesday said the new hybrid version of its multi-purpose vehicle Innova will be available at a price starting from Rs 18.30 lakh (ex-showroom). The Bengaluru-based auto major unveiled Innova HyCross in November and it will be available at the dealership from mid next month. The self-charging hybrid version of the vehicle has been priced between Rs 24.01-28.97 lakh (depending upon the variant) while the gasoline version will come in the range of Rs 18.30-19.20 lakh, the company said in a statement.
