Toyota Kirloskar rejigs regional offices into 3 strategic business units

Toyota Kirloskar Motor on Thursday announced realignment of its regional offices into three new strategic business units (SBUs) with an eye on strengthening agility of regional management team. Under the new structure, Atul Sood will become associate vice-president (north & east SBU); R Venkatakrishnan, vice-president (south SBU and institutional sales); and B Padmanabha, vice-president (west SBU), the company said in a statement. The three zonal SBUs will be further supported by group SBUs and state SBUs. With this, the company aims to further strengthen the objectivity and agility of the regional management team, it added. Toyota Kirloskar Motor announces leadership changes for 2020

Toyota Kirloskar Motor (TKM) on Tuesday said N Raja has now donned a bigger role and moved to Toyota Financial Services India as its managing director. Raja, who has been with the company for the last seven years, was previously deputy managing director for sales & marketing at TKM, a press statement from the company said here. TKM announced the rollout of restructured organisational changes effective from January 1, 2020, as it continues to redesign the company operations from long-term perspectives. The other key changes include promotion of Raju B Ketkale as the deputy managing director covering manufacturing as a function, the release said. Ketkale, with over two decades of experience in the automobiles field, was previously senior vice-president & director at TKM, handling product design and development and quality assurance, it said. Mumbai, 21 NovemberThe Toyota Etios sedan, Etios Cross and Liva hatchback could hit the end of the road once the stringent BS-VI emission norms take effect from April.The high cost of switchover and low volumes have, aver informed souces, prompted Toyota Kirloskar Motor (TKM) to pull the plug on its mass segment models. Now on, Toyota is unlikely to make any model on its own for the mass segment here -- it might instead source from Suzuki's India subsidiary and re-badge these.
