New Delhi/ Maharashtra/Jammu, April 10 (ANI): Congress leaders Ghulam Nabi Azad and Praful Patel cast their votes in their respective constituencies on Thursday during the third phase of Lok Sabha polls. Azad said that he is confident of having UPA government in centre again. NCP leader contesting from Gondia in Maharashtra stated that he is sure of his victory. Lieutenant Governor Najeeb Jung also cast his vote in New Delhi and encouraged voters to come forward and cast votes.
New Delhi/Chandigarh/Kerala/Ghaziabad/Saharanpur, April 10 (ANI): Leaders of various political parties cast their vote on Thursday as the nation observes polls for 91 seats in 11 states and 3 Union Territories. Congress President Sonia Gandhi, Vice President Rahul Gandhi and Defence Minister AK Antony were among the voters from Congress Party. IPS turned social activist Kiran Bedi also cast her vote and urged people to come forward and cast their vote. Kerala Chief Minister Oommen Chandy cast his vote in Pudupally in Kottayam district. AAP chief Arvind Kejriwal also cast his vote in New Delhi. Congress candidate Pawan Bansal from Chandigarh also cast his vote and said that people will choose their leader on the basis of work done in the constituency. Congress leader Raj Babbar who is contesting from Ghaziabad also cast his vote. Babbar said that he hopes the polling will go well. Congress candidate from Saharanpur Imran Masood along with his wife also cast his vote in the constituency.
New Delhi/ Nagpur/ Trivandrum, Apr 10 (ANI): Elections to the Lok Sabha moved into high gear as voters began exercising their franchise on Thursday in 91 constituencies in the third phase of polling in 11 States and 3 Union Territories amidst tight security. Congress candidate from New Delhi constituency Ajay Maken cast his vote and said that he was confident that the Congress party would win all the seven seats from Delhi. BJP candidate from Nagpur, Nitin Gadkari also casts his vote, says BJP will win the elections this time. AAP leader Manish Sisodia said that he hoped that people voted against corruption, against price rise. Union Minister Shashi Tharoor who casts his vote in Trivandrum, said that the voter turnout is quite impressive.
Kerala, Apr 10 (ANI): Polling began in all the 20 Lok Sabha constituencies in Kerala on Thursday. Voters began to trickle in most of the polling stations as soon as polling opened at 7 am, to choose their representatives. At many booths, voters queued up well before the start of polling. Voting will take place in 21,424 polling stations and over 2.42 crore voters are expected to exercise their franchise. About 1.5 lakh officials including 10,000 women have been deployed for poll duties.
Raipur, Apr 10 (ANI): Maoist killed three security personnel while few others were injured in an attack carried out by the rebels in red corridor of Chhattisgarh. The injured were shifted to a nearby hospital in Raipur. Doctors treating the injured security personnel said one security official was critical.

New Delhi, Apr 10 (ANI): Union Commerce Minister Anand Sharma hit out at the BJP's PM candidate Narendra Modi saying bringing Modi to the forefront portrayed the bankruptcy of the BJP and it was a disaster harping on the so called "Gujarat model", as the debt incurred during latter's tenure on state treasury has risen due to revenue loss and crony capitalism. Sharma further said Modi was portraying a false picture of development among the voters. Commenting on Modi's wide advertising and publicity campaign, Sharma alleged that BJP has ensured that it puts all the focus on the projection of one man.

Delhiites are voting to elect their seven representatives from the seven constituencies of Delhi which are- Chandni Chowk, North East Delhi, East Delhi, New Delhi, North West Delhi, West Delhi and South Delhi. Voters have queued up outside the polling booths eagerly waiting for their turn. Security forces have stepped up safety measures to ensure safe and fearless environment for voters. With the emergence of the Aam Aadmi Party in 2012, the voters here will witness a triangular fight on all the seven Lok Sabha seats between Congress, BJP and AAP. As many as 150 candidates, including Kapil Sibal (Congress), Harsh Vardhan (BJP), Rajmohan Gandhi (AAP), Manoj Tiwari (BJP), Ajay Maken (Congress) are in the poll fray.
New Delhi, Apr 9 (ANI): BJP leader Amit Shah on Wednesday moved a plea in the Allahabad High Court challenging the FIRs lodged against him by the Uttar Pradesh government for alleged hate speeches made by him at election meetings in Bijnore and Shamli districts. The court has sought a copy of the video from Election Commission where Shah is purportedly seen making an inflammatory statement, asking voters to seek revenge over the Muzaffarnagar riots.
Amritsar, April 9 (ANI): The election battle in Punjab is getting intense day by day where BJP and Congress candidates leave no occasion of slamming each other. This time it's going to be a top 'hot' contest in Amritsar as the veteran leaders- BJP's Arun Jaitley and Congress's Captain Amarinder Singh have been pitted against each other. 'War of words' has already started between the two political stalwarts with Amarinder calling Jaitley as an "outsider" and "Pseudo Punjabi". Now, Captain Amarinder Singh has slammed Arun Jaitley by saying that he doesn't trust Jaitley's advocacy skills. Moradabad, April 09 (ANI): Yoga Guru, Ramdev, offered to support Aam Aadmi Party chief, Arvind Kejriwal, to help him win the general election against Congress chief, Sonia Gandhi, if he contests against her from Rae Bareli in Uttar Pradesh. Ramdev was addressing a news conference at Moradabad on Wednesday. Slamming the Congress chief, he said that she is a heartless person and is not working towards the progress of the country.
Srinagar, April 9 (ANI): Yet another shock awaited the BJP prior to polls when its Srinagar candidate Arif Raza quit the party on Wednesday. Raza resigned from the BJP on grounds of being upset over party President Rajnath Singh's announcement of finishing Article 370. Raza said that Rajnath Singh is nobody to finish Article 370 under which Jammu and Kashmir deserves a special status. He also said that he will not stay in contact with the BJP anymore.
Chattisgarh, April 9 (ANI): With an aim to woo voters of Chattisgarh, Congress Vice President Rahul Gandhi on Wednesday while addressing a rally in Balod district highlighted the achievements of Congress Party. Patna, April 9 (ANI): The BJP on Wednesday slammed Samajwadi Party leader Azam Khan for his remark on Kargil war. Azam Khan kicked up yet another political storm by saying that India won the Kargil War solely because of Muslim soldiers and no Hindu soldier was behind the victory. Reacting over this BJP leader Ravishankar Prasad said that such remarks are demoralizing for the Army. He said that soldiers who sacrificed their lives are being categorized based on religion just for votes, nothing can be more unfortunate than this.
