Houses set on fire in Bihar’s Nawada; Congress slams NDA for ‘jungle raj’

A day after 21 houses were set on fire in Bihar’s Nawada district, a top state government official said on September 19 that 15 people have been arrested in connection with the incident. Preliminary investigations indicate that a land dispute may have triggered the incident, which occurred in Manjhi Tola within the Mufassil police station area on the evening of September 18, police said. While the Congress slammed the NDA government, calling it a “jungle raj,” and claimed that over 80 houses were set ablaze, police reported that about 21 houses were actually burned in Nawada district.
