New Delhi, June 09 (ANI): A businessman shot dead outside his residence in Delhi's Karol Bagh area on Saturday. The incident took place late night and deceased Mohit used to do the trade of cloth in the Karol Bagh market. Mohit's family alleged that a neighbour named Kamal has killed Mohit. At present, the police has registered the case and started the investigation.
Sangrur (Punjab), June 09 (ANI): The rescue operation is underway by a team of Indian Army and National Disaster Response Force (NDRF) to rescue a two-year-old child in Punjab's Sangrur. Fatehvir Singh accidentally fell into a 150-feet deep borewell in Sangrur on June 06. He fell into the field while playing that was covered with a cloth. A team of NDRF and Army experts, assisted by the police, civil authorities, villagers and volunteers are carrying out the rescue operations.
Rampur (Uttar Pradesh), June 09 (ANI): In yet another case of medical apathy, patients were seen being treated on the floor in Uttar Pradesh's Rampur. Due to lack of proper bed facilities in Rampur District Hospital people can be seen lying on the floor with drips on their hands, while the drip bottles were seen hung up on the windows. A doctor on duty said that there has been a sudden increase in the number of patients which led to the non-availability of beds in the hospital. A patient named Mohammad Samir Ahmed said, "3-4 people are sleeping on a single bed due to lack of sufficient beds in the hospital." While other patients present in the hospital also complained about the same issue. While speaking to ANI, Chief Medical Officer (CMO) of Rampur BS Nagar said, "Some patients insist on being admitted, so the number of patients at the hospital has increased. We will investigate the matter."
Muzaffarpur (Bihar), June 09 (ANI): At least 14 kids have died in Bihar's Muzaffarpur reportedly due to Acute Encephalitis Syndrome (AES), while over a dozen are admitted in hospitals with high fever and other symptoms of the infection. More details are awaited.
New Delhi, June 09 (ANI): While speaking to ANI on Trinamool Congress (TMC)-Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) clash in West Bengal's Basirhat, BJP leader Mukul Roy said, "TMC goons attacked BJP workers and four of our workers were shot dead in Sandeshkhali, Basirhat. Their leader and Chief Minister is indulging in a reign of terror, we have sent a message to Home Minister Amit Shah ji, Kailash Vijayvargiya ji and our state leaders." "A team of MPs will visit Sandeshkhali tomorrow and send a report to the Home Minister, we will protest against this democratically," he further added.
Bhilwara (Rajasthan), June 09 (ANI): A couple allegedly committed suicide after killing their two children in Rajasthan's Bhilwara on Saturday. The incident took place in Mal Ka Khera area of Bhilwara. While speaking to ANI, Police Official said, "Postmortem of the four bodies has been done, further investigation in the matter is underway." New Delhi, June 09 (ANI): The vaping trend is catching on and the Federal Trade Commission (FTC) is concerned about companies posting ads on social media without any health warnings. The FTC and the US Food and Drug Administration (FDA) have sent warning letters to companies posting ads about flavoured e-liquid products or vape on Facebook, Instagram, and Twitter without the warning that the products contain highly addictive chemical, nicotine, the official release said The non-disclosure in social media posts could be seen as a violation of the FTC Act. Companies have been asked to disclose material health or safety risks in ads on social media or when influencers endorse these products.
Malkangiri (Odisha), June 09 (ANI): The Malkangiri District police on June 06 seized 3000 Kg ganja, worth Rs 2 crore, and arrested thirty four people. The police team was attacked by Ganja peddlers and Police personnel were reportedly injured. Those who arrested 17 are from Malkangiri 11 from Nabarangpur 5 from Koraput and 1 from Chhattisgarh. Further investigation is underway.
Hyderabad, June 09 (ANI): People throng to Hyderabad for the annual 'fish prasadam' (live fish) ritual commenced on June 08. More than one lakh people participated from different states. It is believed that public who are suffering with respiratory problems including Asthma will get relief totally. The people are advised not to drink water until 30 minutes after the 'prasadam' is consumed. More than two thousand police men have been deployed. There are also more than 40 CCTV cameras have been installed in the ground to monitor the things. While speaking to ANI, Chief Organiser of the event said, "Our family has been organising this event for 174 years, this fish prasadam helps in cough, asthma and other respiratory problems."
Mumbai, June 09 (ANI): Two dead and one injured after an oil tanker ran over them while they were sleeping on a footpath on June 08. The incident took place in Mumbai's Vikhroli area. The injured were rushed to the Hospital for treatment. Police investigation is on to nab the culprits.
Amravati (Maharashtra), June 09 (ANI): People in Amravati's Melghat, who have been facing severe water crisis, are forced to go as deep as 40 feet inside wells to fetch drinking water. Neither the government nor anybody else is doing anything to provide fresh water. People sleep at night near wells to fetch drinking water. Health worker in Sonapur village advise people to boil the water before drinking it. While speaking to ANI, one of the villagers said, "I have to go down 40 feet. First I remove the unhygienic water and then wait to fetch the clean water. It takes a lot of time. Sometimes, it takes the entire day. Only a few people manage to get it".
Ludhiana (Punjab)/ Dholpur (Rajasthan), Jun 08 (ANI): The heat wave conditions further intensified in various regions of the country including Punjab and Rajasthan. People are going through difficulties due to extreme hot temperature. People were seen covering their heads and faces. Locals consumed cool drinks as the temperature rises across the nation. Sale of earthen pots has also increased as the mercury touches 42 degree Celsius in Punjab's Ludhiana. While speaking to ANI, a local in Ludhiana said, "The temperature has increased since last week. We are facing a lot of difficulties. People should take care of themselves and keep drinking cold water."
Udupi (Karnataka), Jun 08 (ANI): Taking the initiative to appease the rain God in a novel way, Udupi citizen forum arranged a marriage of the frogs in Karnataka's Udupi today. The two frogs were attired in specially made outfits for the ceremony. Several guests participated in the frogs wedding, and the ritual began by catching hold of a male and a female frog from two different villages. The frogs were taken in a decorated cycle auto before its wedding. Interestingly, the frog couple will be sent on a honeymoon to Manna Palla near Manipal in Udupi. The main intention in arranging this frog wedding was to appease the rain Gods who seem to have deserted the coastal district over the past few months, and the people have been struggling to get water for drinking and other basic purposes.
Wayanad (Kerala), Jun 08 (ANI): Congress president Rahul Gandhi on Saturday conducted his last roadshow of the day in Wayanad's Sultan Bathery of Kerala. This is the first visit of the Congress president to Kerala after winning seat from Wayanad in the Lok Sabha elections. Rahul Gandhi is on a 3-day visit to Kerala. Dewas (Madhya Pradesh), Jun 08 (ANI): At least 15 monkeys died due to extreme heat in Punjapura Joshi Baba Forest in Dewas in last 5-6 days. PN Mishra, DFO Dewas, said, "Our team found 9 carcasses of monkeys in Dewas forest area. On June 07, we investigated further and found 6 more carcasses of monkeys. Doctors said that the monkeys died due to multi-organ failure after heatstroke." He added, "The doctor informed us that the monkeys died due to scorching heat in the area. Another reason could be the battle of water among the monkeys in the forest".
Srinagar (JandK), Jun 08 (ANI): State vigilance organisation sleuths on Saturday raided the financial institution's corporate headquarters in Srinagar. The action was taken minutes after the removal of Parvez Ahmad as chairman of the Jammu and Kashmir Bank. The vigilance organisation was looking for records of appointments allegedly made at the behest of political masters of the previous PDP-BJP government in the state and during Ahmad's tenure. The sleuths raided the bank's corporate headquarters at MA Road. The government has appointed executive president RK Chibber as the bank's interim chairman.
Ahmedabad (Gujarat), Jun 08 (ANI): In a horrific incident, a 20-day-old girl was killed after a group of five goons armed with wooden legs and iron pipes created havoc in Meghaninagar area of Ahmedabad. The reason for the violence is said to be an old enmity between the deceased's father and the goons. The 20-day-old was sleeping on her family members lap when the violence broke out. Police arrested three of the five accused who are said to be history-sheeters.

Amaravati (Andhra Pradesh), Jun 08 (ANI): A day after announcing five deputies in his cabinet, Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister YS Jagan Mohan Reddy constituted his council of ministers, which included 25 legislators who were sworn-in by Governor ESL Narasimhan. The swearing-in of ministers came nine days after Reddy took oath as Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister after sweeping the state both in Assembly and Lok Sabha polls.
