If Udit Raj's remark didn't show murder of democracy then which statement does, asks Chirag Paswan

Patna (Bihar), May 22 (ANI): Jan Shakti Party (LJP) Central Parliamentary Board chairman Chirag Paswan on Wednesday reacted on Congress leader Udit Raj's remark on Supreme Court. He said that the Opposition parties, out of desperation, are raising questions on Electronic Voting Machines (EVM), institutions and now judicial system. "Opposition said that if BJP comes into power then it's the murder of democracy but if this kind of statement didn't show murder of democracy so which statement shows it," said Paswan. The congress leader Udit Raj today raised questions over the way the Apex Court has dealt with complaints of EVM rigging and with petitions seeking review of 100 per cent VVPAT slips along with electronic voting machines on vote counting day.

EC means 'Eradicated Credibility', EVM is 'Electronic Victory Machine' for BJP: Congress

New Delhi, May 22 (ANI): The Congress on Wednesday slammed the Election Commission for rejecting the demand of major Opposition parties for 100 per cent counting of VVPAT's in case. While addressing a press conference, Congress leader Abhishek Manu Singhvi said, "I read out "VVPAT slips have been counted due to either non display of result from control unit or under rule 56 D of conduct of polls rule or whatsoever 'the reason shan't be included in draw of lots for mandatory verification of VVPAT slips'. What's the reason? Is it because 'Chunav Achar Sanhita' has become 'Modi Prachar Sanhita'? Won't you do anything for credibility of EVMs? Will you make EVMs 'Electronic Victory Machines' for BJP? Is it because EC stands for 'Enfeebled Commission', 'Eradicated/Eliminated' Credibility'?

Shashi Tharoor raises his concern over unauthorised movement of EVMs

He said that he has not seen any irregularities of EVM in Kerala, but he raised concerns over unauthorised movement of the EVMs. "We have seen the video of the unauthorised movement of the EVMs. I gathered the information that these EVMs are not used in the elections. If machines that have nothing to do with the election are being transported before the polling counting date, what does that mean? We are very puzzled and concerned. I think my party and other parties were right to go to see the Election Commission. I hope EC will take exemplarily action against those who are foolish enough to move unnecessary machines the day before counting," said Thaoor. Earlier, 22 Opposition parties met Election Commission regarding EVM issues.
