Leopard cub beaten to death in MP's Mandsaur

Mandsaur (MP), May 20 (ANI): A leopard cub was beaten to death by people in a village of MP's Mandsaur district after it attacked and injured five people there. District Forest Officer, Mayank Chandiwal said, "After it attacked people, the villagers attacked it and pelted stones, it died. Postmortem is yet to be done."

Fans' petition to remake 'GOT' season 8 reached over 1 million signatures

New Delhi, May 20 (ANI): Disappointed 'Game of Thrones' fan started a petition on change.org urging makers to remake the eight season of the series "with competent writers" a few days back. The petition has now hit 1.06 million signatures. After the petition surpassed one million signatures, its creator, who self-identifies as Dylan D., wrote an update to explain how the plea started, reported The Hollywood Reporter. Dylan explained he wrote the petition after the fourth episode of the last season, 'The Last of the Starks' because he was "just so disappointed and angry. It was simply me venting a bit." After Dylan posted the petition on Reddit, it quickly started to gain supporters. However, Dylan wrote that he didn't expect HBO to respond. "David Benioff and D.B. Weiss have proven themselves to be woefully incompetent writers when they have no source material (i.e. the books) to fall back on. Non-Alcoholic perfumes in demand during Ramadan in Srinagar

Srinagar (J-K), May 20 (ANI): Amid the holy month of Ramadan, the demand for perfumes, particularly attar (non-alcoholic) has gone up. Shops selling attar are expecting to generate good profits given the fact most of the devotees avoid using perfumes with alcoholic content.In Kashmir valley, during Ramadan, most of the devotees prefer traditional attar over modern perfumes, as consumption of alcohol is prohibited in Islam. Many shopkeepers and attar vendors in Srinagar have set up their stalls outside mosques and shrines. The popular fragrances in demand are 'gulab', 'chameli', 'nargis', musk, chocolate, banana, Kashmiri apple, and 'kesar'.Muslims cannot use any other perfumes except 'attar' because of the alcoholic content in most of them, which is a religious prohibition, as per the holy Quran said a customer.

Blackbuck poaching case: Rajasthan HC issues fresh notices to Saif, Sonali, Neelam, Tabu

Jodhpur (Rajasthan), May 20 (ANI): The Jodhpur bench of the Rajasthan High Court on Monday issued fresh notices to actors Saif Ali Khan, Sonali Bendre, Neelam Kothari and Tabu in the 1998 blackbuck poaching case. A single judge bench of Justice Manoj Garg issued the notices to the actors following an appeal by the Rajasthan government against their acquittal by a Chief Judicial Magistrate's court on April 5 last year. Notice was also issued to Dushyant Singh who was allegedly accompanying the actors when the poaching took place. Justice Garg directed that the case be listed for hearing after eight weeks. Bollywood star Salman Khan was, however, convicted under Section 51 of the Wildlife (Protection) Act by the CJM's court and was awarded a five-year prison term along with a fine of Rs 10,000 after being found guilty of killing two blackbucks in Jodhpur during the shooting of his 1998 blockbuster 'Hum Saath Saath Hain'.
