Bhopal (Bihar), Apr 22 (ANI): Bhopal's first Oxygen bank was set up on April 21, wherein BJP leader Rahul Kothari donated 40 oxygen generators through Sarokar organization. These oxygen concentrators are valuable for mildly symptomatic patients. Bhopal collector Avinash Lavania said, "Patients will not be required to come to the hospital, instead these oxygen concentrators which can maintain the flow up to 50lmp will be provided at their home. These are for patients who are mildly symptomatic or who need less oxygen support."
Hubli/Shivamogga (Karnataka), Apr 22 (ANI): Karnataka government on April 20 had announced night curfew and weekend lockdown to curb the further spread of COVID-19. Night curfew, started from April 21 will be in place till May 04 from 9 pm to 6 am. Police was on strict vigil in Hubli as night curfew came into effect. Weekend curfew will be enforced starting from 9 pm on April 23 to 6 am on April 26. However, all essential services will remain operational. Karnataka reported 23,558 fresh COVID cases on April 21. Currently there are 1,76,188 active cases in the state.
Amritsar (Punjab), Apr 22(ANI): Scores of migrant workers gathered at the Amritsar railway station to return to their native places amid the rising fear of complete lockdown due to COVID-19 pandemic. One of the migrants said, "We are afraid that situation like last time might happen again, therefore we are going. I work in a hotel and hotels have been shut." Punjab reported 4,970 new COVID-19 cases and 69 deaths on April 21. Total COVID caseload of the state stood at 3,14,269. Currently there are 38,866 active cases in Punjab.

Gandhinagar (Gujarat), April 21 (ANI): Chief Minister of Gujarat, Vijay Rupani on April 21 took his first dose of COVID-19 vaccine in Gandhinagar. CM Rupani was seen following all the COVID protocols at the centre. Meanwhile, in the last 24 hours, as many as 11,403 new COVID-19 cases and 117 deaths were reported in Gujarat, along with 4,179 recoveries, the state health department informed on Tuesday evening.

"Their own Sero-survey in October-November said, 5 crores people came in contact with the virus. They recommended ramping up of testing. UP Government started 70% antigen tests which means only 30% RT-PCR test is being done. Why did they not ramp up? Why the antigen tests? To lower their numbers? Bengaluru (Karnataka), Apr 21 (ANI): As coronavirus cases continue to surge across the country, Karnataka government on April 20 announced night curfew in the state. Karnataka Home Minister Basavaraja Bommai informed that Ex-CM Kumaraswamy is in favour of implementing lockdown but the Chief Minister is yet to take any decision. Basavaraja Bommai said, "Ex-CM Kumaraswamy and Governor have said that there should be a lockdown. Chief Minister is yet to take any decision on lockdown. Chief Secretary has also prepared a report. New Delhi, Apr 21 (ANI): Amid reports of shortage of medical oxygen in the city's hospitals owing to the massive spike in coronavirus infections, Dr DS Rana, Chairman of Sir Ganga Ram Hospital in Delhi said that the hospital is getting assurances from both the Centre and Delhi government on oxygen supply and hopefully it will get 5000 cubic metres of oxygen tonight. "There is a steep rise in COVID-19 cases now. As a result, there is a huge difference between the supply and demand of medical oxygen. The plants have got a limited capacity to produce oxygen. Because of steep in cases, the requirement of oxygen has gone up almost three times now," Dr Rana told ANI. "There is an acute shortage of oxygen in our hospital, we need a minimum of 5000 cubic metres of oxygen tonight to keep patients alive," the doctor said."We require 9000-10,000 cubic meters of oxygen every day in this hospital. Chandigarh, Apr 20 (ANI): Chief Minister of Haryana, Manohar Lal Khattar on April 20 informed that the state has made preparation to test 40,000 people in single day, and the state government is also trying to increase the testing from 40,000 to 70,000 per day.
Thiruvananthapuram (Kerala), Apr 20 (ANI): A hospital in Thiruvananthapuram ran out of Covishield vaccine on April 20. A notice has been put up on the hospital stating that 'Covishield has run out of stock, Covaxin available'. District secretary of Kerala Nurses Union, Karthik Kumar said, "We only have Covaxin doses. Those who took Covisheild first have to take the same vaccine. If it's not available, the whole purpose is lost". Kerala reported 19,577 new COVID-19, 28 deaths and 3,880 recoveries today.
The government has allowed Covid vaccination for all above 18 years of age, starting May 1.
