Eight injured in bomb blast at govt office in Nepal

Siraha (Nepal), Mar 15 (ANI): At least eight people were injured on March 14 after a 'pressure cooker bomb' exploded inside a government office in Siraha district's Lahan in south-eastern Nepal. According to the Police, the pressure cooker exploded at Land Revenue Office. Further investigation is underway.

First centralised AC railway terminal to be operational soon

Bengaluru, Mar 15 (ANI): India's first centralised air-conditioned railway terminal, Sir M Visvesvaraya built in Bengaluru, is ready to begin operations soon. WB polls: 'BJP will win over 200 seats,' claims Amit Shah

Home Minister held a roadshow in Kharagpur on March 14 for which a huge crowd gathered. Alongside Shah, West Bengal BJP chief Dilip Ghosh, party general secretary Kailash Vijayvargiya, actor Hiran Chatterjee, a recent inductee, displayed their show of strength. Kerala Mahila Congress chief gets her head tonsured publicly after denied poll ticket

Thiruvananthapuram (Kerla), Mar 14 (ANI): Disappointed on not being named as a candidate in the list released by Congress for 86 seats ahead of Kerala Assembly elections, Kerala Mahila Congress president Lathika Subhash got her head tonsured in front of the party office in Thiruvananthapuram, and announced that she will resign from the party post. Kerala polls: 'I am going to fight and win," says BJP's KJ Alphons

New Delhi, Mar 14 (ANI): Ahead of Kerala Assembly elections, BJP released the list of candidates. Party has given ticket to Rajya Sabha MP KJ Alphons from Kanirapally Assembly seat. Expressing happiness on the same, KJ Alphons said that although he was not keen to contest at all, he follows party's directions. "I am going to fight and I am going to win," he added. Commenting on the flurry of politicians joining BJP, Alphons said that it is because of belief in Modi administration. WB polls: Union Minister Babul Supriyo to contest from Tollygunge

New Delhi, Mar 14 (ANI): Ahead of West Bengal Assembly elections, BJP has fielded Union Minister Babul Supriyo from Tollygunge assembly seat while actor Yash Das Gupta will contest the Chanditala constituency, informed party's national general secretary Arun Singh on March 14 while addressing a press conference in Delhi. "Swapan Das Gupta will contest from Tarakeswar Assembly seat, MP Nisith Pramanik from Dinhata, and Union Minister Babul Supriyo will contest from Tollygung Assembly seat. Actor Yash Das Gupta will contest from Chanditala," he added. The Assembly elections in WB are scheduled to be held in an eight phases starting from March 27.

Former Puducherry minister P Kannan joins BJP

Former Puducherry minister and veteran politician P Kannan, along with his son, joined the BJP on March 14 in New Delhi. P Kannan joined the party ahead of Puducherry Assembly elections. New Delhi, Mar 14 (ANI): Ahead of Kerala Assembly elections, BJP has fielded its new entrant, 'Metro Man' Dr E Sreedharan, from Palakkad constituency, while the state party chief K Surendran will contest from two constituencies - Manjeshwar in Kasaragod and Konni in Pathanamthitta, informed party's national general secretary Arun Singh on March 14 while addressing a press conference in Delhi. "In Kerala, BJP will be contesting 115 seats and the rest of 25 seats will be left for 4 parties," Arun Singh added. "Dr E Sreedharan will contest from Palakkad Assembly constituency. Former state BJP chief Kummanam Rajasekharan will be contesting from Nemom seat in Kerala elections," he further said. The Assembly elections in Kerala are scheduled to be held in a single phase on April 6.

Around 70 fall sick after allegedly eating Maha Shivratri 'prasad' in Rajasthan

Dungarpur (Rajasthan), Mar 12 (ANI): Several people fell sick after allegedly eating Maha Shivratri 'prasad' in Rajasthan's Dungarpur district on March 11. As per the information, it appears to be a case of food poisoning. The teams of 3-4 hospitals are working in this regard.
