Suspension of business notices given in RS to discuss farmers' protest: Mallikarjun Kharge

New Delhi, Mar 10 (ANI): Two Congress leaders have given suspension of business notices for discussion on the farmers' protest, informed Rajya Sabha Leader of Opposition Mallikarjun Kharge on March 10. "Two of our leaders have given suspension of business notices for a discussion on the farmers' protest and three black laws (in Rajya Sabha). We will raise this issue in the House today," said Kharge.

Assam polls: CM Sonowal files nomination papers in Majuli

Majuli (Assam), Mar 09 (ANI): Assam Chief Minister Sarbananda Sonowal filed nomination papers in Assam’s Majuli on March 09. He filed his nomination from Majuli Assembly constituency. Assam assembly elections will be held in three phases. In the first phase, 47 seats in 12 districts will go to the polls on March 27. In the second phase, 39 constituencies in 13 districts will go to the polls on April 01 while 40 assembly constituencies in 12 districts to go on polls on April 6. The counting of votes will take place on May 02.

Interestingly, the jabs were given to the saints at the Swaminarayan temple where all the arrangements were done for the vaccination. 'Govt in Kolkata, we will also go there to speak with farmers': Rakesh Tikait

New Delhi, Mar 07 (ANI): BKU spokesperson Rakesh Tikait said farmers' union will go to Kolkata on March 13 to speak to farmers as "Govt has gone to the state". "Govt has gone to Kolkata so we will also go there on 13th March to speak with farmers," said BKU leader Rakesh Tikait. Prime Minister Modi is currently in West Bengal to address public gathering ahead of elections. Farmers protest against farm laws is going on since November, last year.
