Pune startup developing low-cost, portable ventilators amid coronavirus pandemic

Pune (Maharashtra), Apr 01 (ANI): A startup company in Maharashtra's Pune is working to develop low-cost ventilators in fight against coronavirus pandemic. According to NOCCA Robotics, these ventilators will cost below Rs 50,000 per unit, and will majorly help two and three tier cities of the country. One of the founders of NOCCA Robotics, Nikhil Kurele said, "Our objective was to build a portable ventilator."

Kerala's strawberry farmers unable to sell produce amid coronavirus lockdown

Idukki (Kerala), Apr 02 (ANI): Kerala's strawberry growers in Munnar are facing a major crisis amid the nationwide lockdown in the wake of coronavirus. Farmers who cultivated carrots are also facing the same crisis.Farmers are not able to sell their produce after the lockdown as there are few takers. The March-April is harvest season for strawberry and with farmers unable to sell it most of the produce has started to rot. With no visitors, the local population that used to depend on tourism is also hit.

COVID-19: Temples remain closed for devotees on 'Ram Navami' amid lockdown

New Delhi/ Mumbai, Apr 02 (ANI): Delhi's Shiv Shakti Temple remained closed on April 02 on the occasion of 'Ram Navami' for devotees amid coronavirus lockdown on ninth day of 'Chaitra Navratri'. Nationwide lockdown has been imposed in backdrop of coronavirus outbreak. Similar situation was seen at Birla Mandir and Sai Baba Temple in the national capital today. The temple authorities have also put a notice board stating the temples will be closed to deal with the spread of coronavirus. On the other side, famous Mumba Devi Temple of Mumbai is also closed due to lockdown on 'Ram Navami'.

New Delhi, Apr 02 (ANI): Travellers at Delhi-Haryana border are going through beefed up security due to nation-wide lockdown over coronavirus outbreak. Delhi Police are allowing only those individuals availing or rendering essential services. Police checked passes and identity cards of people amid the movement of vehicles during coronavirus lockdown. There are total 160 confirmed cases of coronavirus in Delhi including two deaths. COVID-19: 13 people who attended Delhi Jamaat event quarantined in Moradabad

Samsung extends standard warranty on all products

New Delhi, Apr 02 (ANI): Amidst the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic, Samsung has announced it is extending standard warranty across its product portfolio till May 31, 2020. The warranty extension will be valid for products whose warranty would have expired in the lockdown period between March 20 and April 30, 2020, the official release notes. Samsung is also extending the redemption period of offers for customers who pre-booked the Galaxy S20. They can now collect and activate their smartphone until April 30, 2020.
