Bijnor (UP), Feb 18 (ANI): A passenger train on Najibabad to Aligarh route got derailed in UP's Bijnor on Feb 18. Rescue department rushed to the spot immediately after the incident was reported. The train was derailed due to shunting process. No injuries have been reported so far, further investigation is underway.
New Delhi, Feb 18 (ANI): Stock market on February 18 started on a lower note amid concerns of ongoing coronavirus. The SandP Sensex edged lower by 234 points or 0.57 per cent to 40,822 while the Nifty 50 tumbled by 81 points at 11,965. All sectoral indices at the NSE were in red with Nifty metal down by 1.6 percent. Nifty auto, pharma, realty and PSU bank slipped by 1.1 percent each.
Bhopal (MP), Feb 18 (ANI): Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Kamal Nath reacted over his apparent spar with former Congress MP Jyotiraditya Scindia. "I do not have any personal enmity with anyone. I do not have any grudges against Shivraj, how can I have something against Scindia," CM said. Kamal Nath had dared Scindia to follow his threat of taking to streets over "unfulfilled" promises laid out in party manifesto by saying "let him do". Kamal Nath also said that his government will not implement National Population Register (NPR) in Madhya Pradesh.
Patna (Bihar), Feb 18 (ANI): In a press conference held in Patna, political strategist Prashant Kishor announced that he is starting a program called 'Baat Bihar Ki' for the betterment of the state. He said, "Nitish Kumar could not make 200 MLAs who can change Bihar's politics. I am starting a program called 'Baat Bihar Ki' from February 20 to work towards making Bihar one of the 10 best states in the country." Kishor further said, "Arvind Kejriwal's Aam Aadmi Party stands against the Citizenship Amendment Act (CAA) and National Register of Citizens (NRC)."
Patna (Bihar), Feb 18 (ANI): JD(U) leader Ajay Alok said political strategist Prashant Kishor talks has no sense of politics and he sold Nitish Kumar in whole country to build his political PR agency I-PAC (Indian Political Action Committee). While speaking to ANI, "Someone talks like this when they are mentally unstable. On one hand, he says that Nitish Kumar is like my father, on the other hand, he digs out the flaws of the same person which are not true. He sold Nitish Kumar in whole country to build his I-PAC. He said Gandhi and Godse can't go hand-in-hand, then who was working for Narendra Modi in 2014 and in 2012 for Gujarat elections. Who are they teaching? He has no sense of politics. Mumbai, Feb 18 (ANI): Former Trinamool Congress MP Tapas Pal passed away in Mumbai due to cardiac arrest on early morning of February 18. TMC MP died at the age of 61. He acted in number of Bengali films. Tapas Pal had been suffering from heart ailments since past two years.

Vaibhabi Rai has highlighted the relevance of unity in diversity in a drawing competition. The 10-year-old girl focused on communal harmony and secularism. Ludhiana (Punjab), Feb 18 (ANI): Around 30 kg gold was looted by four robbers in Punjab's Ludhiana. Gold was looted from a financing company on February 17. The incident took place around 10:30 am and got captured in CCTV camera which is now being monitored. While speaking to ANI, the Commissioner of Police of Ludhiana Rakesh Agrawal said, "We have identified some suspects and investigation is underway in this regard."
New Delhi, Feb 18 (ANI): Seven Maldivian nationals evacuated from the coronavirus-hit Chinese city of Wuhan were discharged from the Indo-Tibetan Border Police (ITBP)-managed quarantine facility in Chhawla on February 17. Having tested negative for coronavirus, all seven Maldivians will be departing for their homeland on February 18. The seven Maldivians had arrived in India alongside 323 Indians on a special Air India flight which had been sent to China as part of an evacuation operation undertaken by the Indian government. A total of 640 Indians had been evacuated from China in two special operations. Immediately upon their arrival in the national capital, the Maldivians and the Indians were sent to quarantine facilities run by the Indian Army and ITBP, where they stayed for a period of more than two weeks. Coronavirus first originated in the Chinese city of Wuhan and has since then killed more than 1800 people in that country alone, while cases have been registered in several count
Chandigarh, Feb 18 (ANI): A Rajasthani stone artist has made chess worth Rs 1.25 lakh. Yakub Qureshi and his family has made a special chess with Onyx marble. While making the chess, no artificial colours have been used as all the colours are natural. "The worth of this chess is Rs 1.25 lakh but we will give 15 percent discount on it. We have used original colours in it. We have used Onyx marble stone," Qureshi told ANI.
Mumbai, Feb 18 (ANI): A Mumbai-based doctor Puneet Mehra appealed to Prime Minister Narendra Modi for early repatriation of his mother's mortal remains. Puneet's mother lost her life at a hospital in China after passing out on a Melbourne to Mumbai flight via Beijing on 24 January.While speaking to ANI, Puneet Mehra said, "Due to some reason transportation process could not be initiated, I do not know if it was due to coronavirus. It has been so long and my mother's mortal remains are not yet back, I do not know what state she is in. I appeal to PM and government to bring her back."

New Delhi, Feb 18 (ANI): In a first, researchers have come up with a smart jumpsuit that is capable of measuring the spontaneous and voluntary movement of infants starting from the age of five months. The study on the smart jumpsuit and the related analysis method applied to seven-month-old infants was published in the Scientific Reports journal. In the future, the jumpsuit can also be used to study older children. Vanhatalo says that the new analysis method quantifies infant motility as reliably as a human being would be able to do by viewing a video recording. After the measurement, the infant's actual movements and physical positions will be known to the second, after which computational measures can be applied to the data.
Sonpur (Bihar), Feb 18 (ANI): Around 50 people were admitted to a hospital after consuming food at a wedding ceremony. The incident occurred in Bihar's Sonpur on February 17. While speaking to media persons, Sub-Divisional Officer, SS Pandey said, "A team of doctors is being sent to the wedding place, as there are chances of others falling ill after consuming the food."
New Delhi, Feb 17 (ANI): The Delhi court on February 17 has issued a fresh date for execution of all the four convicts. Convicts will be executed on March 3 at morning 6 am. Reacting on court's verdict, Nirbhaya's parents' lawyer Seema Kushwaha said that the execution date which is fixed for the convicts should be the final date and the culprits should be hanged on the given date. "On 3rd March when they will be hanged, it will bring justice not only to Nirbhaya but also light ray of hope for other rape victims in the country," said Kushwaha.
New Delhi, Feb 17 (ANI): Equity benchmark indices ended lower on Monday with investors trying to gauge the impact of Supreme Court verdict on telecom operators regarding the adjusted gross revenue (AGR) dues and the consequent result on banking sector. The apex court last week directed telcos to clear their dues totalling nearly Rs one lakh crore to the government by March 17, and threatened of contempt proceedings if they did not. The BSE S and P Sensex closed 202 points lower at 41,056 while the Nifty 50 slipped by 68 points to 12,046. Experts said that bank stocks will remain underpressure given high inflation and no possibility of an interest rate cut by the Reserve Bank of India (RBI) in the near-term. Most sectoral indices at the National Stock Exchange were in the red with Nifty PSU bank down by 2.96 per cent.
