Varanasi (Uttar Pradesh), Dec 25 (ANI): In a bid to nab those who led the violence in Varanasi during a protest against the newly-enacted citizenship law, police on December 25 issued posters with pictures of the rioters. Uttar Pradesh Police placed the posters of protestors in Bazardiha area of Varanasi. The posters of 'wanted rioters' also say that people who provide information that will lead to arrests will be rewarded. Police said several rioters have been identified through videos and CCTV footages. The identity of the informant will be kept secret. Many people have died in police-protesters clashes against the Citizenship (Amendment) Act, 2019, which erupted in different districts of Uttar Pradesh including Meerut, Bahraich, Bareilly, Bhadohi, Gorakhpur and Sambhal.
Gaya (Bihar), Dec 25 (ANI): Buddhist Spiritual leader Dalai Lama gave a powerful message to Chinese government. Speaking to mediapersons in Gaya, Dalai Lama said, "We have biggest population of Buddhist in China. Many Chinese Buddhists are now following Tibetan Buddhism. We have the power of truth. Chinese communists have the power of gun. In the long run, power of truth is much stronger than power of gun."
Bhopal (Madhya Pradesh), Dec 25 (ANI): Animal Husbandry Department has compiled a database called 'Sire' directory of 16 breeds of bulls at Central Semen Station in Bhopal. The directory includes details such as bulls' family history, disease status and milk production capacity of their mother. Speaking to ANI, Manager at Central Semen Station, "Female animal is not allowed here. Bulls are trained to donate semen artificially. After semen's quality is determined, it's frozen and stored. Directory can be called matrimonial record; it's available on our website too. Farmers can order online."

Rameswaram (Tamil Nadu), Dec 25 (ANI): The Rameswaram Police on December 25 seized 39 bags of cannabis (ganja) from a vehicle. Cannabis weighed around 80 kilograms. Two persons have been arrested in connection with the recovery. Investigation is underway.

Muzaffarpur (Bihar), Dec 25 (ANI): Two motorbike-borne men looted Rs 24 lakh from an Automated Teller Machine (ATM) in Bihar's Muzaffarpur district on December 24. The incident occurred when the ATM at Kachi Pakki area in Muzaffarpur was being replenished. While speaking to ANI, the Station House Officer (SHO) of Sadar Police Station, Mithilesh Kumar Jha said, "The two men snatched the gun from the security guard and looted Rs 24 lakh from the agents who had come to replenish the ATM." "We are trying to activate the CCTV to gain access to the video footage. The two agents and the security guard have been detained as their activities were suspicious," he added.

New Delhi, Dec 25 (ANI): Prime Minister Narendra Modi expressed happiness over the new project and asserted that from now onwards Rohtang tunnel will be known as Atal tunnel. "Today an important project that is very important for the country has been dedicated to Atal ji. Rohtang Tunnel connecting Himachal Pradesh to Ladakh and Jammu and Kashmir, and connecting Manali with Leh, will now be known as Atal Tunnel," said PM Modi.
Pune (Maharashtra), Dec 25 (ANI): At least nine children received severe injuries in a road mishap in Maharashtra's Pune. Injured were rushed to a nearby hospital. The accident took place on Mumbai-Pune National Highway. Further investigation is underway. More details are awaited.
Hyderabad, Dec 25 (ANI): All India Majlis-e-Ittehadul Muslimeen (AIMIM) chief Asaduddin Owaisi met Telangana Chief Minister K Chandrashekhar Rao over the implementation of NPR in the state. He said that the Union Home Minister Amit Shah is misleading the country about National Population Register (NPR) and National Register of Citizens (NRC). He said, "There is no difference between National Population Register (NPR) and National Register of Citizens (NRC). The Union Home Minister is misleading the country. All political parties will be together in protesting against this."

He said, "Thousands of women sugarcane labourers from Beed and Osmanabad have undergone uterus removal surgery. It's saddening as they did so to avoid few days' wage loss. I've requested CM to address their grievances. Govt will certainly find solution to it."
