Lucknow (UP), Dec 07 (ANI): Speaking on Unnao rape victim's death, Uttar Pradesh Justice Minister Brajesh Pathak said, "It is saddening that the victim is no more with us today. We will appeal to the concerned court today to take this case to fast track court. We will also appeal to hear the case on a day to day basis".

Accused deserve death: Unnao Rape victim's brother

New Delhi, Dec 07 (ANI): Unnao rape victim's brother said that his sister's last word was that these 5 accused should not left alive. "I have nothing really to say. My sister is no more with us, my only demand is that the five accused deserve death and nothing less," he further added. The 5 accused in Unnao rape case being taken to jail from court yesterday night, after being remanded to 14-day judicial custody. The victim passed away during treatment in Delhi yesterday, following cardiac arrest at Delhi's Safdarjung Hospital. The 23-year-old Unnao rape victim was burnt alive on Dec 05.

Samsung Galaxy S11 to feature 108-megapixel camera

New Delhi, Dec 07 (ANI): Samsung is reportedly planning to use its own 108-megapixel sensor in its upcoming flagship Galaxy S11 Smartphone to take on the Apple iPhone 11. A Bloomberg report notes that Samsung is expected to include three more sensors including ultra-wide lens, and a 5x optical zoom lens on the Galaxy S11.The Galaxy S11 is also speculated to come powered by a 5,000mAh battery, a significant upgrade compared to the iPhone 11 Max that has nearly 4,000mAh battery. The new Galaxy lineup is expected to be released in February 2020.

Structural differences in brains of children whose parents have depression: Study

New Delhi, Dec 07 (ANI): A study conducted in the United States revealed that there are structural differences in the brains of those children whose parents have depression. The condition of depression typically arises during adolescence. While the causes of depression are complex, having a parent with depression, adds as one of the biggest known risk factors. Studies have consistently shown that adolescent children of parents with depression are two to three times more likely to develop such condition than those with no parental history of depression. The study was published in the Journal of the American Academy of Child and Adolescent Psychiatry. A team led by NIH analyzed brain images from over 7,000 children participating in the Adolescent Brain Cognitive Development (ABCD). The study showed that about one-third of the children were in the high-risk group because they had a parent with depression. Unnao rape victim dies due to cardiac arrest in Delhi's Safdarjung Hospital

New Delhi, Dec 07 (ANI): The rape case victim who was set ablaze in Uttar Pradesh's Unnao was declared dead at 11:40 pm due to cardiac arrest in the national capital on December 06. She was airlifted to Safdarjung Hospital on December 05. While speaking to ANI, the HOD (burns and plastic) in Safdarjung Hospital, Dr Shalabh Kumar said, "She suffered cardiac arrest at 11:10 pm and we tried to resuscitate her, but she could not survive and at 11:40 pm she died."

Encounter doesn't bring justice to victim nor bring security to women: Human Rights Activist

Hyderabad, Dec 07 (ANI): Four men accused of raping and murdering a woman near Telangana's Hyderabad were shot dead by the police on December 06. Cops claimed that it was an encounter that followed after the four men tried escaping. While speaking to ANI in Hyderabad on December 06, the Human Rights Activist Devi said, "We were the first to go on streets demanding justice. You didn't go by book and showed your true insensitive colours and to cover it up, you go for this brutal killing." "This doesn't bring any justice to victim nor brings security to women," she added. All four accused were arrested on November 29 in the high-profile rape and murder of a veterinary doctor in Telangana.

India in touch with Pak for 'unhindered' consular access: MEA on Kulbhushan Jadhav

New Delhi, Dec 06 (ANI): Ministry of External Affairs Spokesperson Raveesh Kumar on December 06 reacted to Kulbhushan Jadhav case. He said that the Indian Government is in touch with Pakistan through diplomatic channels. "There is some communication going on between India and Pakistan," said Kumar. "I have said in the past that we are in touch with Pakistani side through diplomatic channels. We have requested for immediate, effective and unhindered consular access from Pakistan in the light of ICJ judgement," said Kumar. He added that India has requested Pakistan to immediate, effective and unhindered consular access of Jadhav in the light of ICJ judgment.

Bodies of Telangana rape-murder accused shifted from encounter site

Hyderabad, Dec 06 (ANI): Bodies of accused in the rape and murder of the woman veterinarian were shifted from the encounter site. Police had taken all four accused to the crime spot for reconstruction of the crime. However, when the accused tried to escape and fired at police after snatching their weapons, police opened fire at them. The veterinarian was gang-raped and killed by four men, who burnt her body near Shamshabad. Hyderabad Police had arrested the four accused involved in the brutal crime on Nov 29.

'Law has done its duty': Cyberabad Police Commissioner on Telangana encounter

Hyderabad, Dec 06 (ANI): Cyberabad Police Commissioner VC Sajjanar said 'Law has done its duty' over Telangana rape accused encounter. He made this statement while addressing a press briefing in Hyderabad. The encounter took place in early hours of December 06. "Today, the police brought the accused to the crime spot as part of investigation. The accused then attacked the police with sticks, stones and then snatched the weapons from us and they started firing on police," said Cyberabad's Commissioner of Police, VC Sajjanar. He added, "The police warned them (accused) and asked them to surrender but they continued to fire. Then we opened fire and they were killed in the encounter. During encounter, two police men have been injured and they have been shifted to the local hospital."
