Watch: Bengal BJP vice president allegedly thrashed by TMC workers

Karimpur (WB), Nov 25 (ANI): While entering polling booth, West Bengal BJP vice president and candidate for Karimpur bypolls, Joy Prakash Majumdar was allegedly manhandled and kicked by TMC workers on Nov 25. BJP leader alleged that TMC activists were false voters who had assembled with the intention of rigging polls. Assembly bypolls is underway in the constituency.

LS Marshals tried to push Congress members forcefully, manhandled women too: MP Hibi Eden

New Delhi, Nov 25 (ANI): The winter session of Parliament has entered its sixth day and reports of clash with Lok Sabha Marshals and Congress MPs came in. Speaking on it, Congress MP Hibi Eden said, "We had raised a very genuine issue (Maharashtra) in Lok Sabha and protested in democratic manner. Unfortunately, we were taken out by Marshals who tried to push us forcefully. We have filed complaint with the Speaker. We were in the well of the House, there is no contact with Marshals unless they enter the well. They tried to get banners from us and our colleagues tried to resist it, our women colleagues were manhandled too."

Rahul Gandhi speaks briefly in LS, accuses govt of 'murdering' democracy in Maharashtra

New Delhi, Nov 25 (ANI): Congress leader Rahul Gandhi on Monday spoke briefly during Question Hour in the Lok Sabha but did not ask his query and accused the government of "murdering" democracy in Maharashtra. Gandhi, who spoke while opposition members were protesting in the House over the manner in which government was formed in Maharashtra, said he was not asking his question but there was no point "as democracy has been murdered in Maharashtra". Speaker Om Birla asked Congress members to take their seats as their leader was speaking. However, the protest continued. The House was subsequently adjourned till 12 noon. Earlier today, Congress interim president Sonia Gandhi led the party's protest in Parliament premises over the government formation in the state. 88 packets of cannabis worth over Rs 70 lakh seized in Tripura, 1 held

Churaibari (Tripura), Nov 25 (ANI): In a joint operation, Police and Border Security Force (BSF) intercepted a truck and seized 'ganja' (cannabis) worth around Rs 70 lakh in Tripura's Churaibari on November 24. They have seized 88 packets of dry cannabis weighing 818 kg. While speaking to ANI, the police official said, "The driver of the truck has been detained. The 'ganja' consignment was seized from a truck with a Haryana registration number from the Churaibari check post at the Tripura-Assam border." Further investigation is underway in this regard.

Ayodhya (UP), Nov 25 (ANI): A Kiln owner is going to donate 51,0000 bricks for the construction of Ram temple in Uttar Pradesh's Ayodhya. On November 09, Supreme Court ordered central government to formulate scheme for setting up a trust within 3-4 months over the disputed site for construction of temple, while giving verdict on Ram Janmabhoomi-Babri Masjid dispute case. The Ayodhya dispute is a political, historical, and socio-religious debate that almost ended after the verdict. However, the All India Muslim Personal Law Board will file a review petition against the verdict.
