Lahaul-Spiti (Himachal Pradesh), Nov 18 (ANI): The snow clearance operation is underway in Himachal Pradesh's Lahaul-Spiti. It is continued on Manali-Leh Road between Kokasar and Rohtang. Life has been affected and roads are blocked due to heavy snowfall. Lahaul-Spiti recorded minimum temperature of -14 degree Celsius.
Sannidhanam (Kerala), Nov 18 (ANI): Devotees thronged to Sabarimala Temple in Kerala on Nov 18. Thousands of devotees came in to offer prayers in the temple. The Sabarimala Temple was opened on November 16 for annual 'Mandala Pooja' festival. 'Mandala Pooja' festival is a 41-day long celebrations.
Sangrur (Punjab), Nov 18 (ANI): A group of locals staged a protest against the killing of a Dalit man Jagmail Singh, who was allegedly beaten up and forced to drink urine in Punjab's Sangrur. Protesters demanded compensation for his family. While speaking to media, AAP MLA Harpal Singh Cheema said that compensation of Rs. 50 lakh must be given to the deceased's family. "He (Dalit man Jagmail Singh) died after he was forced to drink urine and was thrashed mercilessly. A compensation of Rs. 50 lakh must be given to the family of the deceased and also, a family member should be given a government job," Cheema told reporters.
New Delhi, Nov 18 (ANI): Last rites of Goa Director General of Police (DGP) Pranab Nanda were performed in Delhi on Nov 17. His body was kept for last darshan for his well wishers. National Security Advisor (NSA) Ajit Doval and Delhi's Lieutenant Governor Anil Baijal also paid their last respects. Nanda had died due to cardiac arrest on Nov 16. Nanda was on a visit to Delhi after attending official functions in Goa on Nov 15.
Sannidhanam (Kerala), Nov 18 (ANI): Devotees thronged the Sabarimala Temple to offer prayers on November 18. The shrine was opened on Nov 16 evening for the 'Mandala Pooja' festival. One of the priests opened the sanctum sanctorum of the temple, marking the beginning of 41-day long pooja session.
New Delhi, Nov 18 (ANI): Minister of State for External Affairs V Muraleedharan on November 17 said "urban naxals, anarchists and atheists" are going to the Sabarimala temple in guise of devotees, just to prove they have visited the temple, and called for the examination of such people. "The people who are going to temple now, are urban naxals, anarchists and atheists. I don't think they're devotees. They want to prove that 'we have gone to Sabrimala Temple. Whether they're really devotees, it should be examined," Muraleedharan told ANI.

Through his songs, he also requests people to segregate solid and liquid waste.
Hyderabad (Telangana), Nov 18 (ANI): The Bharatiya Janata Party on November 19 will stage a 'sadak bandh' throughout the state of Telangana against ruling Telangana Rashtra Samithi (TRS), announced BJP's Telangana president Dr K Laxman. The strike will be against the acts of some of the officials in the state government who are acting like "agents of the ruling TRS" by going against those sided with the Telangana State Road Transport Corporation (TSRTC) employees, Laxman told ANI. The employees of the TSRTC are on strike for over 40 days demanding merger of RTC with the government.
