Thiruvananthapuram (Kerala), July 24 (ANI): In a bizarre incident, a dog was found abandoned by its owner in Kerala's Thiruvananthapuram for having an 'illicit relationship' with a dog next door. The white Pomeranian dog, about three years old, was found abandoned outside the World Market in Chackai, Thiruvananthapuram. The dog was rescued by People For Animals (PFA) volunteer, Shameen, who found a note attached to its collar and was shocked to read it. The note written in Malayalam reads - "The dog is a really nice breed. It is well-behaved. It does not require a large amount of food. It does not have any diseases. It is bathed once every five days. Only issue is that it barks a little. It hasn't bitten anyone in three years. Used to give it mainly milk, biscuit and raw eggs. It is being abandoned because of 'illicit relationship' with a dog in the neighbourhood." New Delhi, July 24 (ANI): People who follow paleo diet were found to have twice the amount of a key blood biomarker that is linked closely to heart diseases, suggests a study. The study published in the 'European Journal of Nutrition' examined the impact of the diet on gut bacteria. Researchers compared 44 people on the diet with 47 following a traditional Australian diet. They measured the amount of trimethylamine-n-oxide (TMAO) in participants' blood. High levels of TMAO, an organic compound produced in the gut, are associated with an increased risk of heart disease. The controversial Paleo (or 'caveman') diet advocates eating meat, vegetables, nuts and limited fruit, and excludes grains, legumes, dairy, salt, refined sugar and processed oils. Dr Angela Genoni, the lead researcher said that with the diet's growing popularity, it was important to understand the impact it could have on overall health. Odisha based transgender community led by All Odisha Kinnar Mahasangh Meera Parida organised a 'nukkad natak' (street play) named "NUA MAA" in tribal areas to aware pregnant women about government schemes for pregnant women and children. 60 transgenders participated in the social awareness campaign. NUA MAA awareness campaign launched to aware families in tribal areas as well as in villages to take benefit of schemes provided by the government for women and children. It is the first time in the country that transgender community stood up for a social cause related to women and children.

New Delhi, July 24 (ANI): Facebook could be headed into a major privacy row as a design flaw in its Messenger Kids app has been found allowing strangers to connect with children. The app mandates parents to approve whom their child interacts with. However, a loophole allowed children to enter group chats with unapproved users, The Verge reports. A child's friend could create a group chat and add his side of parent-approved friends, creating a complex equation where the participants may not be known to each other. Since the discovery of the 'technical error', Facebook has been quietly alerting users and shutting down such group chats. The bug is due to the way the permissions are applied to a group chat.

Shamli (Uttar Pradesh), July 23 (ANI): A verbal spat erupted between Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) Corporator Rajeev Goyal and police in Uttar Pradesh's Shamli on Monday. The incident took place in Shiv Chowk area of Shamli over a personal dispute. BJP Corporator was slapped by a four-wheeler driver after dispute occurred between them on road.
