Yavatmal (Maharashtra), Jun 22 (ANI): Two debt-ridden farmers committed suicide in Maharashtra's Yavatmal. The farmers were identified as Chimaji Shinde and Bandu Udhavrau Kamble. Chimaji Shinde had a debt of over four lakh. Their families claimed that they have not received any compensation from the government yet. While speaking to ANI, Vijay Jawandhia, farmer leader said, "Thousands of farmers have been deprived of government help despite increasing number of suicides."
Bhatpara (WB), Jun 22 (ANI): A three-member BJP delegation, led by former Union minister SS Ahluwalia announced Rupees 10 lakh as compensation to the families of BJP workers, who were killed during the clash in Bhatpara district of West Bengal .During the visit BJP leader minister SS Ahluwalia said, "A 17-yr-old boy was shot when he going to purchase something. Police shot him in his head from point blank range. 7 people were shot. Police use batons for hooligans and bullets for innocents. It should be inquired." A 3-member BJP delegation led by SS Ahluwalia visited Bhatpara today. SS Ahluwalia said, "Union Home Mininster Amit Shah is immensely saddened by the violence in Bhatpara. Such incidents are occurring only in WB. We will talk to the concerned persons and submit a report to him".
Srinagar (JandK), Jun 22 (ANI): A seminar was organised by the Institution of Engineers (India) in collaboration with Jammu and Kashmir Lakes and Waterways Development Authority to discuss the various issues pertaining to Dal Lake conservation and its dwellers. During the seminar, the discussion was held on the conservation measures in the catchment area by the way of afforestation and engineering measures. One of the suggestions came from seminar that the Dal Lake and adjoining areas be declared as eco-sensitive zone.
New Delhi, Jun 12 (ANI): Thousands of protestors ended their 15-hour siege on Saturday morning of the city's police headquarters after putting up demonstrations demanding complete withdrawal of the controversial extradition bill and exoneration of protestors arrested during previous clashes. The extradition bill was proposed on April 03. Those opposing the bill argue that its controversial amendments will leave anyone on Hong Kong soil vulnerable to being grabbed by the Chinese authorities for political reasons or inadvertent business offences.The extent of the Opposition to the bill is such that even business groups in Hong Kong have also spoken out against it. Owing to the continued protests this last week, the city government on Saturday made a stunning reversal, when it halted the controversial amendments in the bill from becoming a law, only days after continuing to push ahead with it. Raipur (Chhattisgarh): Shri Guru Tegh Bahadur Sikh Museum in Guru Nanak Nagar of Raipur city stands testimony to the centuries-old glorious history of Sikhs. New Delhi, June 22 (ANI): Union Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman on Saturday conducted the customary 'halwa' ceremony held at the Finance Ministry in the national capital. This ceremony was conducted to mark the beginning of printing of documents relating to Union Budget 2019-20. Minister of State for Finance Anurag Thakur along with Finance Secretary Subhash Chandra Garg, Financial Services Secretary Rajiv Kumar, Revenue Secretary Ajay Bhushan Pandey and Expenditure Secretary GC Murmu also participated in the ceremony. 'Halwa ceremony' is an old tradition in which 'halwa' is prepared in a large 'kadai' and later is being distributed among the Ministry officials. It marks the commencement process of printing documents for the upcoming budget. The budget will be presented by Sitharaman on July 05 in Parliament. This would be her first Budget as the Finance Minister.
Gorakhpur (UP), June 22 (ANI): Amid the deaths of children in Bihar due to Acute Encephalitis Syndrome (AES), Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath on Saturday reviewed the medical faculties in BRD Medical College in Gorakhpur. CM Yogi was accompanied by actor-turned-politician Ravi Kishan, who is MP from Gorakhpur. He reviewed the facilities which have been provided to the children. In February, Hong Kong's government announced plans for a bill that would allow, for the first time, extradition to mainland China. The bill resulted in massive street protest by more than one million people. On June 12th of June, a scheduled 2nd reading of the controversial bill was delayed after huge crowds rallied, blocking major roads and attempting to storm parliament. Srinagar (JandK), Jun 22 (ANI): Orchid owners and growers in Jammu and Kashmir are enthused with the blooming cherry crop this season in the state, famed for its horticulture. The Valley of Kashmir located at the higher altitudes mainly grows temperate fruits. It grows not only several varieties of cherries but also apples, apricots, almonds, peaches, walnuts and grapes. These fruits are harvested in Harwan, Dara, Nishat and Tangamarg regions. Farmers are expecting a good price from the market for these cherries. "As you can see, this time we have grown a variety of fruits. We provide assistance to them as and when required. A lot of people are getting employment in this season. Every year the productions of fruits are increasing. Field staff guides farmers and orchids owners," said Nazir Ahmad Guroo, Technical Officer Horticulture.
New Delhi (June 22, 2019) ANI: Civil Aviation Minister Hardeep Singh Puri inaugurated the state-of-the-art Central Air Traffic Flow Management system (C-ATFM) in New Delhi on Saturday. In India, C-ATFM system came with an estimated cost of Rs. 107 Crore and has been already been implemented at Delhi, Mumbai, Chennai, Hyderabad, Bengaluru and Kolkata airports. As the air traffic flow was growing rapidly in India and was likely to expand in near future, the requirement of ATFM or Air Traffic Flow Management became the need of the hour. In 2017, India became the seventh country in the world after USA, Europe, Australia, South Africa, Brazil and Japan to implement an advanced state-of-the-art Central ATFM system. With the introduction of this system in India, it has led to enhanced safety and annual fuel savings of thousands of crore rupees by reducing fuel burn along with minimizing flight delays caused due to air traffic congestion.

Chhapra (Bihar), June 22 (ANI): In a shocking incident, a man stabbed to death allegedly over a dispute regarding seat in Pawan Express train. The incident took place on Friday night at Chhapra junction of Bihar. The deceased has not been identified yet. While speaking to media, a GRP said, "They had a tussle over a seat, victim was stabbed near the toilet in the train." The Government Railway Police (GRP) has started the investigation.
