The Indian Air Force’s iconic MiG-21, the country's first supersonic fighter and interceptor aircraft, which was first inducted in the 1960s and went on to script a glorious chapter in the country's military aviation history, took its final bow today.

At a grand farewell ceremony in Chandigarh, Defence Minister Rajnath Singh, top military leaders, veterans, and families gathered to mark the end of the Soviet-era fighter jet’s 62 years of distinguished service.

The development came after the Debts Recovery Tribunal (DRT) in Chennai passed an order on December 12
