MP Police booked man for calling village 'mini Pakistan' on Facebook

Rewa (Madhya Pradesh), July 02 (ANI): A man has been booked for calling Amreti village of MP's Rewa 'mini Pakistan' in a Facebook post, in Gurh area of Madhya Pradesh's Rewa district. The accused has been identified as Afsar Khan. "Afsar Khan, the accused, has been booked under Section 153 of IPC and Section 67 of IT Act," a police official told mediapersons on July 01.

Not aware of Bihar Minister Madan Sahni's resignation: Jitan Manjhi

Patna (Bihar), July 02(ANI): I am not aware of Bihar Social Welfare Minister Madan Sahni's resignation, said former Bihar chief minister, and Hindustani Awam Morcha president Jitan Ram Manjhi on July 01. "I'm not aware of this (Bihar Minister Madan Sahni's resignation) but it's true that many administrative officers don't give preference (to leaders' words). I had earlier raised the issue in a joint meeting of MLAs," said Majhi. Bihar Minister and Janta Dal (United) leader Madan Sahni on July 01 resigned from his ministerial post expressing displeasure over the high-handedness of the bureaucracy.

"There are some loopholes in the implementation of liquor ban. Poor people are being sent to jail. But rich people are freely consuming alcohol. 100% vaccination target for 18+ achieved in MP's Jamui village

Shahdol (Madhya Pradesh), July 02 (ANI): Jamui village in Shahdol district has become the first gram panchayat in Madhya Pradesh to achieve the target of 100% vaccination of all residence. The Jamui village has a population of 3200, and out of it, 1855 are 18+. The villagers eliminated the rumours and apprehensions about COVID vaccine and achieved the target. 6 other gram panchayats in Shahdol district have also achieved 100% vaccination.

Women soldiers bridging gap between army and locals in JandK's Ganderbal

Ganderbal (JandK), July 1(ANI): Central Kashmir's Ganderbal is witnessing a remarkable change in routine military affairs. To ensure safety and security in the region, Indian Army has deployed women soldiers of Assam Rifles. Riflewomen have been deployed for MVCP (Mobile Vehicle Check Post). Speaking to ANI, Col R S Karakoti, Co 34 Assam Rifles said, "These Rifle women have been a force multiplier and they have been bridging the gap between army and Awaam and we are using them in other operations as we use our riflemen. Local citizens have been coning and reaching out to these riflewomen and developing a special relationship with the army."

AIIMS doctors appeals for citizens' participation to fight COVID

New Delhi, July 1 (ANI): On the National Doctors' Day, Head of Medicine Department, AIIMS, Dr Navneet Wig appealed for participation of citizens to fight COVID-19. "Team India includes healthcare workers and citizens. Both have a responsibility towards managing COVID19," said Dr Wig. "100 percent vaccination, clean masks and no mass gatherings can ensure a lower positivity rate. Healthcare workers take a lot of pressure; have to maintain work-life balance. We need to give those breaks and shifts; need to be away from work to re-energize themselves. They should look after themselves," he added.

'Zydus Cadila to produce 1 crore vaccine doses/month,' says MD Sharvil Patel

New Delhi, July 1 (ANI): Managing Director of Zydus Cadila Healthcare, Sharvil Patel on July 1 said that company aims to produce 1 crore COVID vaccine (ZyCoV-D) doses per month from August onwards. "We expect to produce 1 crore vaccine doses per month from August onwards and 5 crore doses by December this year. 4 killed in cylinder blast in Delhi's Shahdara

New Delhi, June 30 (ANI): At least four people were died and a person sustained burn injuries in a gas cylinder blast which took place June 29.
