Defence Minister further said, "Many fraction areas are built near LAC in Eastern Ladakh. China has collected heavy force and arms and ammunition near LAC and in the nearby area on their side. Our forces have also effectively done counter deployment." "Since last year, we have maintained relationship with China on military and diplomatic levels. During the talks, we told China that we want solution of the issue based on three principles. First, both parties must agree on LAC and respect it. Secondly, there shouldn't be an attempt to change the status unilaterally, by any party. Thirdly, all the compromises should be completely agreed upon by both parties," he added.
New Delhi, Feb 11 (ANI): Amid the ongoing standoff with China at the Ladakh border area, Defence Minister Rajnath Singh makes a statement in Rajya Sabha on February 11, regarding the 'present situation in Eastern Ladakh'. While speaking in the RS, Rajnath said, "Our sustained talks with China have led to agreement on disengagement on the north and south banks of Pangong Lake. After this agreement, India-China will remove forward deployments in a phased, coordinated manner." "China will keep its troops to the east of the Finger 8 at the north bank of Pangong Lake. India will keep its troops at its permanent base near Finger 3," he added.

Chamoli (Uttarakhand), Feb 11 (ANI): ITBP troops constructed 'jhula bridge' across disconnected villages in Chamoli. The bridge will be used to transport ration from one side of the bridge to another. A flash flood triggered due to glacier burst on Feb 07 in Chamoli district. Around 32 people have died in the incident so far, and more than 170 are still missing.

New Delhi, Feb 10 (ANI): While addressing a press conference in the national capital, the Secretary in Ministry of Labour and Employment, Apurva Chandra, said the proposed labour codes which include changing in working hours of employees will provide flexibility in working hours for employees, adding that some employers are even interested in giving their workers three days of paid leave weekly by tweaking the shift hours. "During tripartite discussion, concerns about working hours going up by 12 hours were raised. Employer may provide for 5-day working week. We have tried to bring in some flexibility by correcting 12-hour work day." "Changes will be shared in final list," he told mediapersons on February 08.
Chamoli (Uttarakhand), Feb 10 (ANI): JCB machines are continuously on the task to clear the tunnel near Tapovan dam in Chamoli district. Teams are focused towards clearing the debris and slush which is blocking the way. Chamoli ITBP, DIG, Aparna Kumar said, "Technical issues cropped up in one of the JCB machines, as its tyre busted. Machines to continue to work inside the tunnel. The challenge we are facing is that debris and slush is coming out from the tunnel. We need to progress carefully as water with high pressure might come from inside the tunnel."

DGP Kumar said, "There is not much progress in the rescue operation. We have recovered 32 bodies, 8 identified, 24 unknown. Rescue team has also recovered 2 bodies of Uttarakhand police personnel." "Can't confirm exact number for missing and dead people but it's between 192 and 204," he added.
