Cabinet approves Companies Second Amendment Bill 2019

New Delhi, Mar 04 (ANI): Cabinet approved Companies (Second Amendment) Bill, 2019. While addressing the press conference, Union Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman said, "Cabinet approves Companies (Second Amendment) Bill, 2019. Bill removes criminality under the Act. This Bill further ease of living for law-abiding corporates and de-clogs the criminal justice system in the country." The 72 changes in the Companies Act have also been approved.

Equities close lower as Coronavirus cases rise, financial and metal stocks drag

New Delhi, Mar 04 (ANI): Heavy selling in financial and metal stocks dragged equity benchmark indices lower by half a per cent on Wednesday as the government said that number of confirmed Coronavirus cases in India has risen to 28. The market sentiment was affected after Health Minister Dr Harsh Vardhan said that a total of 28 cases of Coronavirus have been confirmed and all international tourists coming to India are being screened at airports. As investors assessed the economic fallout from fast-spreading Coronavirus globally, the BSE SandP Sensex closed 214 points or 0.55 per cent lower at 38,409 while the Nifty 50 slipped by 49 points or 0.43 per cent to 11,254. Except for Nifty pharma and IT, all sectoral indices at the National Stock Exchange were in the red with Nifty financial service losing by 1.42 per cent, private bank by 1.71 per cent, metal by 0.74 per cent.

Delhi Police arrests four rewarded criminals

New Delhi, march 4 (ANI): A team of Counter Intelligence Unit, Special Cell of Delhi Police arrested 4 most wanted criminals of gang wanted more than dozen heinous crime from Gurugram. The arrested criminals identified as Jitender Alias Gogi, Rohit Alias Moi, Kuldeep Mann Alias Fajja and Kapil. All the arrested accused are cumulatively carrying a total reward of Rs 10 lakhs fifty thousand. Jitender was running an extremely sophisticated organized crime syndicate. Members of his gang were committing extortion, collecting ransom, protection money and committing car-jacking at impunity. The Special Cell was on the trail of gang members for a long time and traced them to Gurugram, and surrounded their hideout. Total six imported pistols; over 70 live cartridges and one robbed car were recovered from the accused. A case under the relevant sections of law has been registered at PS Special Cell. Further investigation is under progress.

Nirbhaya's lawyer to file application in Delhi HC to get fresh date for execution of convicts

New Delhi, Mar 04 (ANI): After President Ram Nath Kovind rejected the mercy plea of the 2012 Delhi gang-rape case convict Pawan, Nirbhaya's lawyer Seema Kushwaha to now file a fresh application in Delhi High Court in the case. She said, "We are moving a fresh application in Delhi court to fix a fresh date for the execution of the four convicts. All the convicts have exhausted their complete rights. The date which will be fixed now will be the final date." Nirbhaya's lawyer Seema Kushwaha also thanked President Ram Nath Kovind to reject the mercy plea.

28 positive cases of coronavirus reported in India: Harsh Vardhan

New Delhi, Mar 04 (ANI): Union Health Minister Harsh Vardhan informed that there have been 28 positive cases of coronavirus in India as of now. He said, "From now on, all flights and passengers will be part of universal screening, not just the 12 countries which we had listed earlier. 17 out of 23-24 Italian nationals, including an Indian driver have found positive for coronavirus. They have been sent to at Indo-Tibetan Border Police's (ITBP) quarantine facility in Chhawla. Three cases were from Kerala that have been cured, one from Delhi and his family of six people, one from Telangana and this Italian group. Till now, there have been 28 positive cases of coronavirus in India".

Passengers screened for coronavirus at Guwahati airport

Guwahati (Assam), Mar 04 (ANI): Several passengers were screened for deadly coronavirus at LGBI Airport in Guwahati on March 04. According to Union Health Ministry, two suspected COVID-19 cases in Assam were found negative. Meanwhile, the total number of cases of deadly virus in India has reported 28 till now. State-level task force constituted to control situation arising due to COVID-19: CM Kejriwal

New Delhi, Mar 04 (ANI): Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal, held a press conference in the national capital on Wednesday 04. Speaking at the conference, Kejriwal said that a state-level task force has been constituted to control the situation arising due to coronavirus. Adding in it, he further said the task force will be chaired by him. He said, "A state-level task force has been constituted to control the situation arising due to coronavirus. He said, "We have requested all hospitals in Delhi to develop good quality isolation wards, in order to stay prepared if more cases of coronavirus are suspected in the national capital. We have talked to administration of Delhi to use a cluster approach for stopping coronavirus from spreading.
