Lucknow (Uttar Pradesh), Jan 13 (ANI): Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath informed that Uttar Pradesh cabinet has approved proposal to setup police commissioner system in Lucknow and Noida. Speaking on it, Director General of Uttar Pradesh Police, OP Singh said, "It was a very historic moment when state government took decision of setting UP police commissioner system in Lucknow and Noida. UP cabinet has approved it today. I am so happy that this long-awaited demand of police officials and other professional bodies has now fulfilled. It was very important to set up such system here. I believe after introduction of police commissioner system, the law and order system and crime control in the state will be improved. It would be expected from this system to improve public grievances and law system." He further said, "We would appoint a women police officer to improve women security like Delhi Police. I feel it was important to setup police commissioner system in these two places."
Guwahati (Assam), Jan 13 (ANI): Former chief minister of Assam and Congress leader Tarun Gogoi spoke to ANI on his reported statement 'new political party a necessity in Assam'. He said, "I have not said that I will form a new party, some organisations said they are thinking of forming a political party, I said they are welcome to do so. Deepak Agrawal, Commissioner, Varanasi said that we have discussed proposal to allow people for 'sparsh darshan' in proper outfit. He said, "In present, 'sparsh darshan' is only available after morning prayers, otherwise devotees can only have sight from distance. But devotees want to visit for a longer time. We are dwelling on the proposal to allow people for 'sparsh darshan' in proper dress code. Nothing has been decided yet."

Agra (Uttar Pradesh), Jan 13 (ANI): Two died and at least six injured in the incident where a bus rolled over on Agra-Lucknow Expressway due to low visibility. The incident happened near Fatehabad. The injured were immediately taken to nearby hospital. Cases of accident in fog have increased due to low visibility on roads.

Guwahati (Assam), Jan 13 (ANI): Assam State Zoo cum Botanical Garden and Aaranyak, a city based NGO have been successful in artificially breeding a pair of greater adjutant stork chicks in the zoo. This was the first experiment which gained success. Dr Purnima Devi Barman, who led the greater adjutant conservation project of Aaranyak said, "Greater adjutant stork is an endangered bird. We have been doing this experiment since 2017. For the first time, greater adjutant stork has been artificially bred in an enclosure."
Muzaffarpur (Bihar), Jan 13 (ANI): A candidate appeared for Bihar Police examination, caught for using unfair means in Muzaffarpur. He was caught after earphones got stuck in his ears as he was in terrible pain. He was immediately brought to the hospital. A case is registered against the candidate. Further Investigation is underway. Speaking on it, Muzaffarpur Police official, Nishar Ahmad said, "We got the information that a candidate who is appearing for examination of Bihar Police, caught because he was using Bluetooth while writing the exam. He was in terrible pain as earphone got stuck in his ear and was brought to hospital."

"This year marks the 70th anniversary of China-India diplomatic relations. Over the past 7 decades, China-India relations have been moving forward despite ups and downs, rain or sunshine," said Chinese Ambassador to India. "In recent years, under the guidance of the leaders of the two countries, China-India relations have entered a new stage of sound development. President Xi Jinping and Prime Minister Narendra Modi held two informal summits to co-write the chapter of dragon and elephant dancing together," he further added. He made these statements in an event named Chinese New Year Reception in Kolkata.
