Delhi Airport Metro Express trains get free WiFi on-board

New Delhi, Jan 02 (ANI): Delhi Metro Rail Corporation (DMRC) gave New Year gift to its passengers in the form of free WiFi inside coaches. India is the fourth country to give free WiFi facility to its passengers in a metro train after Russia, Korea and China. After this development, it is the first Delhi Metro corridor to have WiFi on-board moving trains and passengers can expect similar services on other corridors in the future.

Slogans should be raised against torturing of minorities in Pakistan: PM Modi

Tumakuru (Karnataka), 02 Jan (ANI): While addressing at Siddaganga Mutt in Tumakuru, Prime Minister Narendra Modi said that Congress and its allies don't speak against Pakistan, instead they are taking out rallies against refugees. "If you have to raise slogans, then raise slogans against the way minorities are being tortured in Pakistan. If you have to take out a procession then take out a procession in support of Hindu-Dalit-victim-exploited in Pakistan," said PM Modi. Prime Minister is on a two-day visit to Karnataka.

Bajaj Auto reports 3 pc fall in sales during December

New Delhi, Jan 02 (ANI): Two-and-three wheeler manufacturer Bajaj Auto said on January 02, that it sold 3.36 lakh vehicles in December, down 3% in the year - ago period. In December 2018, it had sold 3.46 lakh units, it said in the statement. However, three-wheeler sales saw a rise of 8 percent year-on-year to 51,253 units versus 47, 344 units in December 2018. Of these, domestic sales saw 26% growth to 29,038 units from 23,099 units while exports skidded by 8% to 22,215 units from 24,245 units in the same period. Total motorcycle sales (domestic and exports) came in at 2,84,802 units in December 2019 as against 2,98,855 units in December 2018, a decline of 5%. Of these domestic sales witnessed decline of 21% while exports rose by 13%.

JSPL clocks in highest ever quarterly production, sales in Q3 FY20

New Delhi, Jan 02(ANI): Jindal Steel and Power Ltd recorded the highest ever quarterly domestic production of crude steel and related products during the third quarter ending in December. JSPL recorded the growth of 30% in sales. Total crude steel and related production stood at 1.61 million tonnes compared to 1.32 million tonnes in the corresponding period last year. Export shipments increased to more than 3 lakh tonnes, marking an increase of 213% during Q3 FY20.

Teach Bhagwat Gita in schools to stop students from consuming beef in future: Giriraj Singh

Begusarai (Bihar), Jan 02 (ANI): During an event in Begusarai, Union Minister for Animal Husbandry, Dairying and Fisheries, Giriraj Singh said that Bhagavad Gita should be taught in schools. He said, "Bhagavad Gita should be taught in schools, we send our children to missionary schools, they get through IIT, become engineers go abroad and most of them start eating beef. Why? Because we do not teach them our culture and traditional values."

Delhi-NCR to get relief from cold in coming days: IMD

New Delhi, Jan 02 (ANI): After days of cold spell, people in Delhi-NCR are expected to get respite from harsh weather. According to Indian Meteorological Department (IMD), intensity of cold weather is likely to decrease. Regional Head of IMD, Kuldeep Srivastava said, "Due to clear sky, sun is sunny today. We are hoping good sunlight in next 3-4 days. Light drizzle may occur in some places on Jan 02. Till January 6, the sun will be sunny; people will get relief from the cold. Definitely, north-west India and Delhi-NCR will get relief from cold in coming days."

Peeragarhi factory fire: 14 people injured, search operation underway, says Addl DCP

New Delhi, Jan 02 (ANI): A massive fire broke out at a factory in Delhi's Peeragarhi on Jan 02. During rescue operations a blast occurred, after which factory building collapsed and several people, including fire brigade personnel trapped in the building. Speaking on the incident, Additional DCP of Outer Delhi, Rajendra Sagar said, "14 people have been injured in the incident, including 13 fire brigade personnel. The back portion of the building has collapsed due to the blast and fire personnel and police trapped in it. It might be possible that one is still trapped and search operation is underway. Fire though is in control now. The cause of fire is unknown but rescue operation is underway."

Kerala Assembly's resolution against CAA has no constitutional validity: Governor Arif

Thiruvananthapuram (Kerala), Jan 02 (ANI): Calling state assembly's resolution against Citizenship Amendment Act (CAA) 'illegal and unconstitutional', Kerala Governor Arif Mohammed Khan said that it has no validity. Governor Khan said, "They are only making a demand. This resolution has no legal or constitutional validity because citizenship is exclusively a central subject, this actually means nothing. I have already made my views public that we should not spend government's time and resources on issues which are beyond the jurisdiction of the government. But I respect if some people are in view and they are making a demand to the central government, then I have no problem. This resolution has no constitutional or legal validity."

Anti-CAA protest: Activist mother meets toddler after fortnight following arrest
