India's forest cover is 25% of geographical area: Prakash Javadekar

New Delhi, Dec 30 (ANI): Union Minister of Environment, Forest and Climate Change Prakash Javadekar released the India State of Forest Report on December 30. Presenting the report, Javadekar said, "In the present assessment, the total forest and tree cover of the country is 25% of the geographical area of the country." He also informed that there has been an increase in forest cover in Karnataka, Kerala, Andhra Pradesh, Jammu and Kashmir and Himachal Pradesh in last 2 years.

NITI Aayog launches SDG India Index and Dashboard 2019-2020 in Delhi

New Delhi, Dec 30 (ANI): The National Institution for Transforming India (NITI) Aayog launched SDG India Index and Dashboard 2019-2020 in the national capital on December 30. DDCA Joint Secretary demands BCCI to probe AGMN incident

Disturbed by news of violence in educational institutes: WB Governor

Kolkata, Dec 30 (ANI): West Bengal Governor Jagdeep Dhankhar attended a cultural festival in Kolkata. Speaking at the event, Governor said that he had written a letter to Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee concerning violence in educational institutes.
