New Delhi, Nov 20 (ANI): While speaking during the winter session in Rajya Sabha on November 20, Minister of State (MoS) in Home Affairs, G Kishan Reddy spoke on matter of preventive custody in Jammu and Kashmir post abrogation of Article 370. He said, "Right now, only 609 people are in jail. We have released the rest. Total 5,161 people including stone-pelters, separatists and some political leaders were arrested preventively on August 5." "Time to time some measures have to be taken in the interest of the nation. During emergency 36 Member of Parliaments (MPs) were arrested to save the chair of one person, while we are working keeping law and order in mind," he added.

Dakshina Kannada (Karnataka), Nov 20 (ANI): The Indraprastha Vidyalaya in Uppinangady town of Dakshina Kannada district has introduced a separate 'water bell' to create awareness about drinking water among the students. The objective is to make students drink enough water every day. Speaking to ANI, Jose MJ, Principal of Indraprastha Vidyalaya, said, "It has been observed that as the temperature of the environment rises, so do several health complications like stomach pain and drowsiness." He further stated that parents had been complaining for a long time that students were returning home with full water bottles and suffering from various health problems. The water bell rings thrice in a day, at 10:35 AM in the morning, at noon, and at 2 PM in the afternoon.
Udalguri (Assam), Nov 20 (ANI): At least eight persons died in a road accident in Assam's Udalguri district on Nov 20. A car hit a stationary truck from the back on National Highway 15 in Orang area. The deceased persons were returning from a wedding party in the car.
Indore (Madhya Pradesh), Nov 20 (ANI): Several miscreants attacked shops located in MP's Indore on November 19. The miscreants brandishing sharp knives were captured in CCTV. A case has been registered. Further investigation is underway. More details are awaited.
New Delhi, Nov 20 (ANI): Group of Jawaharlal Nehru University's (JNU) visually-impaired students, who called for a demonstration in front of Delhi Police Headquarters against 'the lathi charge of Delhi Police on the students of the university and demand for justice for persons with disabilities,' were taken to Vasant Kunj police station by police. Later they were taken to Police headquarters in ITO. The demonstration is scheduled in the front of the Police Headquarters on Jai Singh Road near the Parliament. On November 18, Delhi Police had denied allegations of lathi-charge leveled by some students during the protest organised to demand complete fee rollback. The forum demanded delegation-level talks with the Chief Commissioner of Delhi Police and full protection of persons with disabilities anywhere in the national capital with an immediate effect.

Youths identified as Rahul Gairi and Kanhaiya Lal brandished illegal pistol while riding a bike on a highway for making TikTok video. Police have lodged the case against both the youths under Arms Act.

The app is being soft-launched today in all worldwide markets, but membership management tools are only available in the US. It is available on iOS, including Apple Watch and iMessage.
New Delhi, Nov 20 (ANI): While speaking to ANI, Delhi Jal Board Vice-Chairman Dinesh Mohaniya on Tuesday said that the 11 samples are not enough to decide whether the water is clean or dirty in Delhi. He said, "We will now collect over 3000 samples and will pick at least 5 samples from each ward for laboratory tests and results will be put out in public domain." Union Minister Ram Vilas Paswan on November 16 said that tap water in Delhi and several other cities did not comply with the requirements according to a study conducted by the Bureau of Indian Standards (BIS).
