Watch: Heated argument between bride, groom families turns violent in Telangana

Suryapet (Telangana), Nov 1 (ANI): A brawl took place between bride and groom family members at marriage celebrations on procession issue in Telangana. A heated argument took place between the family members which turned into violence with both sides attacking each other with chairs. Immediately after receiving information police rushed to the spot. At least three people from both sides received severe injuries and were admitted to the hospital.

Devotees observe 'Chhath Puja' with fervour in Patna

Patna (Bihar), Nov 1 (ANI): Devotees in Patna gathered to perform rituals during the ongoing 'Chhath Puja'. The four-day Chhath festival began on October 31. On the last two days, devotees perform rituals and offer evening and morning 'arghyas' (offerings) to 'Sun God' by taking a dip in a river or other water bodies. The age-old festival is celebrated mostly by people from Bihar and eastern Uttar Pradesh. While speaking to ANI, a devotee said, "This is considered as one of the main prayers and all the wishes come true."

ASEAN-India Summit will decide on future areas of cooperation: Indian Ambassador to Thailand

He further said, "I went to a school today and when I asked, only 15-20% children said they burst crackers. Jharkhand to go to polls in 5 phases from Nov 30: EC

New Delhi, Nov 01 (ANI): Chief Election Commissioner of India, Sunil Arora informed that Model Code of Conduct is in force in Jharkhand for the upcoming Assembly elections. He also informed that like last time, Jharkhand will go to polls in 5 phases from November 30. During the press conference, Sunil Arora said, "Phase-1: Polls on 30 November, phase 2: Polls on 7 December, phase 3: Polls on 12 December, phase 4: Polls on 16th December, phase 5: Polls on 20th December, and counting on 23rd December."

Prakash Javadekar slams Kejriwal for blame game on Delhi pollution

New Delhi, Nov 01 (ANI): Union Environment Minister Prakash Javadekar hits out on Chief Minister of Delhi, Arvind Kejriwal and said that he is doing politics over pollution matter. "Chief Minister of Delhi is politicising pollution and has entered into blame game. Delhi govt didn't give Rs 3500 crores it had to, for Eastern Peripheral Expressway, that could have reduced pollution in Delhi. If we keep blaming each other, many things will come up," he said. "But providing relief to people from pollution is everyone's responsibility. I appeal that instead of blaming Haryana and Punjab and blaming each other, all 5 states should sit together and discuss ways to mitigate pollution," he further added.

Mumbai, Nov 01 (ANI): Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) leader and Chief Minister of Maharashtra Devendra Fadnavis called a meeting for the farmers, who suffered from untimely rains in Maharashtra. While speaking to ANI on this regard, Fadnavis said, "The untimely rainy season has been widespread in Maharashtra and farmers have suffered extensively due to this. Today, I also called a meeting in this regard. All officials were present in the meeting along with the IMD officials. In the last four months, four big cyclones came here. Due to heavy rains, harvesting crops have been damaged on the large scale. The damage has been done in almost 325 tehsils. Horticulture crops have also been destroyed on a large scale. All records are being made so that farmers can be financially compensated. We have also sensitized the insurance companies. A cabinet sub-committee's meeting would be called tomorrow."

Delhi Police observes National Unity Day

New Delhi, 1 Nov (ANI): On the occasion of Rashtriya Ekta Diwas (National Unity Day) in connection with observance of birth anniversary of Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel, Delhi Police organised a 'March Past' at India Gate. Germany-India exchange agreements on green mobility, artificial intelligence

Different dog breeds to be inducted in CRPF's canine squad

Bengaluru, Nov 01 (ANI): The Central Reserve Police Force's (CRPF) Dog Breeding and Training School is training dogs of various breeds in Karnataka's Bengaluru. Dog Breeding and Training School is located in Taralu village of Bengaluru rural area. They train dogs of various breeds such as Malinois, German Shepherd and Labradors. These dogs will be inducted into the force's canine squad.
