This Durga Puja pandal in Varanasi gets 'Chandrayaan-2' touch

Varanasi (UP), Oct 05 (ANI): It is that time of the year when the whole country is dipped into festivity mood. Durga Puja pandals always have something new to offer every year. Like every year, this year too, Durga Puja pandals in Varanasi has been decorated with different themes. Devotees in this holy city will get to witness a pandal with the theme 'Chandrayaan-2'. A Durga Puja pandal in Orderly Bazar of Varanasi is all set to mesmerise the visitors with its 'Chandrayaan-2' theme. The pandal, which is around 100-feet in height, was made in two months. The pandal will make you feel like as if you are walking in space. Apart for the idol of Goddess Durga, the pandal also has installations of ISRO Chief K Sivan and astronauts.

NBA India Games 2019: Indiana Pacers defeat Sacramento Kings

Mumbai, Oct 05 (ANI): In the first-ever NBA match in India, Indiana Pacers defeated Sacramento Kings 132-131 on Friday at the Dome, NSCI, SVP Stadium in Mumbai. These games are a part of both the team's pre-season matches. These two sides will face each other once again tomorrow. Kings dominated the first quarter of the match and they went into the break with a lead of 39-29. The team was able to maintain their lead in the second quarter and after the conclusion of the half, Kings had 72 points to their credit as compared to Pacers' 59. In the third quarter, Pacers changed the outlook of the match as they scored three-pointers and two-pointers to reduce Kings' lead to just one point. However, Kings came back into the match and they finished the third quarter with a lead of five points. The quarter finished with the scoreline at 97-92 in favour of the Kings. In the fourth quarter, Pacers equaled the Pacers score and with the scoreline at 118-118, the match had to be played in extra time

Sddressing the rally, CM Raghubar Das said, "Our government made Jharkhand the first state where we give free stove to women along with money for refilling the gas. In this way we have given gas stove and LPG gas cylinder to 40 lakh poor sisters. Our government will provide LPG Gas stove to 30 lakh more poor women by December this year."

Durga pandals in Delhi go eco-friendly

New Delhi, Oct 05 (ANI): Keeping up with the global shift towards sustainability, the Durga Puja celebrations in the national capital are being conducted in an eco-friendly manner. Speaking to ANI, one of the organizers of Matri Mandir pandal in Safdarjung Enclave Subhas Rai said, "This is our 53rd year of Matri Mandir Durga Puja. We have taken the 'Thakurwadi theme' which is related to how the house of Rabindranath Tagore was kept. As you know, we are discussing reducing pollution, so we are using betel leaf plates and glasses made of paper. These are biodegradable". "Whatever flowers we are using, we are making sure that they are disposed of properly using dustbins," he said. "We will not do immersion of idols in the Yamuna as there is a ban on doing so. Sushant Singh Rajput, Manoj Bajpayee urge people to help Bihar overcome floods

New Delhi, Oct 4 (ANI): Actor Sushant Singh Rajput requested fans and followers on social media to come together in order to help Bihar in overcoming the floods which have battered the state and claimed over 70 lives. Taking to Twitter, Sushant, who was born in the state's capital Patna, offered his condolences and requested people to donate for the flood-affected state. Backing the 33-year-old, Manoj Bajpayee, who is also from Bihar, retweeted Rajput's tweet and wrote, "For our Bihar. #BiharFlood." NDRF and Sashastra Seema Bal (SSB) teams have been deployed in the state and are currently carrying out rescue and relief operations. Sitting BJP MLA's supporters allegedly vandalise car of party's new candidate in Mumbai

Jaipur (Rajasthan), October 4 (ANI): Addressing the cleanliness session at Birla Auditorium in Jaipur on the occasion of 150th birth anniversary of Mahatma Gandhi, Rajasthan Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot said, "In Rajasthan, state government will provide equipments for sewerage chamber cleaning so that no one dies while cleaning sewerage chamber. There will be no constraint of money for this purpose." He directed the officials to make a work plan for this and implement it within a year. "Mahatma Gandhi had dreamt about clean and pure India. Security tightened in Delhi ahead of festive season

Door frame metal detectors and handheld metal detectors have been installed at strategic points to frisk the visitors.
