Jaipur (Rajasthan), Sep 24 (ANI): While speaking to media in Jaipur on Prime Minister Narendra Modi's US visit, Rajasthan Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot said, "It must have happened for the first time in the last 70 years that a Prime Minister of a country campaigned for a political party openly, 'Agli sarkar Trump sarkar.'' "We have followed the foreign policy of non-alignment," Gehlot added. "The more we criticise it the less it is. We can't imagine how the relations will be of the two countries (India and USA) if a person from an Opposition party becomes the president," he further stated.

Need to work together in order to curb crime: CM Kejriwal over attack on woman journalist by chain snatchers

New Delhi, Sep 24 (ANI): While speaking to ANI, Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal on the attack by the chain snatchers on a journalist said that we all need to work together to reduce the crime incidents in Delhi. Kejriwal said, "I got to know about the incident, wherein a woman journalist from ANI was attacked by chain snatchers. It's very saddening. I hope culprits get the strictest punishment. All of us together need to work to reduce the crime incidents in Delhi."A woman working as a journalist in ANI, suffered injuries on her face and hand after she was allegedly attacked by two bike-borne robbers in broad daylight, who dragged her out of an auto-rickshaw, snatched her phone and managed to flee.

Onions worth over Rs 8 lakh stolen from godown in Patna

Patna (Bihar), Sep 24 (ANI): An onion trader in Bihar's Patna has alleged that onions worth over Rs 8 lakh were stolen from his godown. The incident took place in Fatuha area of Patna on September 23. Around 328 sacks were being stolen by the robbers from the godown. While speaking to ANI, police official said, "Investigation will be conducted in the case."

People queue up to buy onions sold at subsidized price by GoI in Delhi

New Delhi, Sep 24 (ANI): Government of India is selling onions at Rs 22 per kg in the national capital on September 24. People queued up in large numbers to buy onions which is being sold by the Centre. The government is selling onions near Krishi Bhavan in Delhi. Due to heavy monsoons, low production has pushed onion prices to nearly Rs 80 per kg. Vegetable sellers are selling the onion at Rs 80 per kg in the market at various places.

Student attacks principal after he was refused to celebrate his birthday on campus in Rajasthan

Ajmer (Rajasthan), Sep 24 (ANI): Principal of Dayanand College was attacked and threatened by students' union president after the principal opposed his birthday celebration on campus on September 23. Police confirmed that both the parties have filed complaints against each other, case will be registered in this regard. While speaking to ANI, Dr Laxmikant, Principal, Dayanand College, Ajmer said, "It is not allowed to celebrate birthdays on campus. When I told Sita Ram Chaudhary, he threw cake at my face, attacked and threatened me. I've filed a police complaint."

Balakot has been reactivated by Pak: Army Chief

Chennai, Sep 23 (ANI): Army Chief General Bipin Rawat on September 23 said that Balakot terror camps have been reactivated recently by Pakistan. He added that Balakot was affected by Indian Air Force air strike and it was destroyed and terrorists ran away from there but now they have come back. Students in Jammu and Kashmir's Pulwama get access to high-speed internet at Govt run centre

Pulwama (Jammu and Kashmir), Sep 23 (ANI): Government opens an internet facility centre for students in Pulwama. Students can avail the facility to fill forms as rest of the state face restricted internet facility. Other necessities such as downloading admit cards or paying fee can also be done at this centre. Mohd Ashraf Hakak, Additional Deputy Commissioner, Pulwama, said, "Students can come here, access internet and fill various forms, as internet facility is unavailable outside in the region."

3 Hizbul-Mujahideen terrorists arrested in Jammu and Kashmir's Kishtwar

Phase 1-B of Jaipur Metro should complete early: CM Gehlot

Jaipur (Rajasthan), September 23 (ANI): Construction of phase one-B of Jaipur Metro from Chandpol to Badi Chaupad should be completed soon. Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot instructed the same in the review meeting organized at Chief Minister's office in Jaipur. In the meeting, CM Gehlot directed the officers to make efforts for upcoming phase and expansion of the Jaipur Metro. This will help to control the increasing traffic pressure in Jaipur and improved public transport would be available to the people. Chief Minister said, "Our previous government has given a gift of Metro as a new mode of transport to the people of Jaipur from Mansarovar to Chandpol by completing the Phase-A in record time. Bengaluru National Law School students demand immediate appointment of new VC

10 dead, several injured in road accident in Assam's Demow

Due to continuous efforts of Kishtwar police, assisted by CRPF, army and NIA team, we have been able to solve all these 4 cases of the past 1 year." "So far, we've arrested 3 people in these cases. They have been arrested in killing of Chanderkant Sharma and his PSO. Among these arrested people, one is Nisar Ahmad Sheikh, who was part of conspiracy and was present during killing of Anil Parihar (BJP)," he added.
