Surat (Gujarat), Sep 17 (ANI): BJP MLA Harsh Sanghavi on September 17 celebrated Prime Minister Narendra Modi's 69th birthday by cutting cake with divyang children and cleanliness workers. While speaking to ANI, he said, "As it PM Modi's birthday and he always emphasises on serving people. We decide to celebrate his birthday in a grand manner. A firework, music and dance performance were held here. Cake cutting was done with special children and cleanliness worker." New Delhi, Sep 17 (ANI): Delhi BJP chief Manoj Tiwari celebrated Prime Minister Narendra Modi's birthday at India Gate on the midnight of Tuesday. Researchers introduce 'phyjamas' to monitor your health as you sleep

New Delhi, Sep 17 (ANI): With unobtrusive, portable devices for monitoring respiratory rhythm and heart rate during sleep expected to come up in future, scientists have developed physiological-sensing textiles that can be made into sleep garments which they have named 'phyjamas'. Researchers explained that their team had to come up with several new ideas to make their vision a reality. They realised that there is no existing fabric-based method to sense continuous and dynamic changes in pressure, particularly given the small signals that they needed to measure. So they designed a new fabric-based pressure sensor and combined that with a triboelectric sensor -- one activated by a change in physical contact -- to develop a distributed sensor suite that could be integrated into loose-fitting clothing like pyjamas. The team also developed data analytics to fuse signals from many points that took into account the quality of the signal coming in from each location. The authors reported that

Make-up artist who helped man impersonate arrested in Delhi

New Delhi, Sep 17 (ANI): Police has arrested a man, Shamsher Singh, who is also known as Billu Barber in Delhi in connection with a case, where a 32-year-old man was arrested at Indira Gandhi International Airport for impersonating an 81-year-old man in an attempt to fly out. DCP of Delhi Airport, Sanjay Bhatia said, "Shamsher Singh runs a salon in Rohini. He has confessed that he had similarly changed the appearance of 10-12 people and used to charge Rs 20,000 per person for the same. He was presented before the court, we have been granted a 1-day remand."

OnePlus 7T is arriving on September 26

New Delhi, Sep 17 (ANI): OnePlus has officially announced that its anticipated OnePlus 7T series will be launched on September 26 at an event in New Delhi. OnePlus made the announcement in an official tweet, accompanied with a small teaser video. Based on past rumours, the new series, including the OnePlus 7T and the OnePlus 7T Pro, will be an incremental upgrade to the current lineup. Mob-lynching case: Tabrez's wife threatens to commit suicide if Section 302 not incorporated in FIR against accused

Jamshedpur (Jharkhand), Sep 17 (ANI): The wife of Tabrez Ansari, the man who was lynched in June, on Monday demanded the incorporation of Section 302 in the FIR lodged against his alleged murderers and threatened to commit suicide if her demand were not met. Ansari's wife Shahista Praveen along with her mother and uncle Moulana Masrur Aalam met the District Collector (DC) and the Superintendent of Police (SP) and demanded a copy of the postmortem examination and viscera report of the deceased. Ansari's wife Praveen threatened to kill herself if the government does not reinstate the murder charge against his alleged murderers. She said, "I will commit suicide if the murderers do not get punishment, and Section 302 is not slapped against them and they are not hanged to death." Gurdaspur (Punjab), Sep 16 (ANI): Additional Secretary of Ministry of Home Affairs, Govind Mohan inspected the Kartarpur Corridor site in Gurdaspur district on September 16 and said that Indian side of Kartarpur corridor will be completed within given time frame. Speaking to mediapersons, Govind Mohan said, "There are 3 works that are part of Indian side of the Kartarpur corridor. An extra highway of 3.5 km is being made from the Gurdaspur-Batala highway till the border point, 70% of it is done, it'll be completed by October 31. The second work is a Passenger Terminal Building (PTB) whose work is underway. In this building, there will be immigration and other facilities for the Sikh devotees who will go towards Kartarpur."

Ex-inmate of Muzaffarpur Shelter Home allegedly gangraped by 4 men in Bihar's Bettiah

Bettiah (Bihar), Sep 16 (ANI): A woman, who had been an inmate of the infamous Muzaffarpur shelter home case, was allegedly raped by four men in a moving vehicle in Bihar's West Champaran district on September 15. The incident took place in Bettiah town of West Champaran district. After raping the woman in a moving vehicle, the four men dumped her. While speaking to ANI on the alleged rape of former Muzaffarpur shelter home inmate in Bettiah, Superintendent of Police (SP) OF Bettiah, Jayant Kant said, "FIR has been filed against four persons. The investigation done so far is limited to this case only." "The victim has been sent for a medical test," he added. In 2018, the Muzaffarpur shelter home had hit the headlines after a social audit report highlighted that over 30 girls were allegedly raped at the government-aided shelter home, run by a Non-Governmental Organisation (NGO).
