Maharashtra BJP president Chandrakant Patil later said, "I got Eknath Khadse's resignation this morning and it has been accepted. We give him our best wishes for joining a new party." Addressing the press conference, Eknath Khadse said, "The then CM (Devendra Fadnavis) instructed police to register First Information Report (FIR) against me on false allegation of harassment by a woman. He said the case would be withdrawn later." "Inquiries for corruption were initiated against me in which I came clean. I suffered a lot in BJP," he added. "I will be joining the NCP (Nationalist Congress Party) on October 23," he further stated.

"Plasma saved my life, and it is beneficial in Delhi. Over 2,000 people got positive response from plasma therapy," said Satyendar Jain on being asked that Indian Council of Medical Research (ICMR) may soon scrap plasma therapy from COVID-19 national treatment protocol as it failed to benefit COVID-19 patients. "Even America had said that it is beneficial," the Health Minister added. It is noted that Delhi is running plasma blood bank for the treatment of COVID-19.

New Delhi, Oct 21 (ANI): The Uttar Pradesh government has sentenced 23 accused to life imprisonment in the past 24 hours, in connection with cases of crime against women and children. The State Home Department of Uttar Pradesh stated the information in a press release on October 20. According to it, 28 criminals were thrown out of the district, and bails were cancelled in 49 cases. The action has come as a big boost to the newly launched `Mission Shakti' to prevent crime against women and girls across the state.
