New Delhi, July 11 (ANI): On July 11, Prime Minister Narendra Modi reviewed COVID-19 situation in the country in a meeting attended by Union Home Minister Amit Shah, Union Health Minister Dr Harsh Vardhan, Member of NITI Aayog, Cabinet Secretary and other senior officials of the central government. Delhi's all state university exams cancelled due to COVID crisis

New Delhi, July 11 (ANI): Due to COVID-19 crisis in National Capital, Delhi Deputy Chief Minister and Education Minister Manish Sisodia on July 11 informed that all the state university exams have been cancelled. "Delhi government has decided to cancel all Delhi state university exams including final exams in view of COVID-19. The degree will be awarded based on evaluation parameters decided by the universities," said Manish Sisodia.

BJP trying to destabilise Rajasthan govt: CM Gehlot

Jaipur (Rajasthan), July 11 (ANI): The Chief Minister of Rajasthan, Ashok Gehlot claimed that Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) is trying to destabilise Rajasthan Government. "We must focus on fighting coronavirus and that is what we are doing but they (BJP) are trying to de-stabilise the government. It wasn't so during Vajpayee ji's time but after 2014 there is pride and division on basis of religion," said Gehlot in a press conference in Jaipur.

India's 2018 tiger census sets Guinness record

New Delhi, July 11 (ANI): Union Environment Minister, Prakash Javadekar informed that India's tiger estimation for the year 2018 has entered the record books as it was awarded the Guinness World Record for being the largest camera-trap wildlife survey."Guinness Book of World Record has recovered the count of tigers in India has one of the success story and the largest ever camera-trap wildlife survey. In this category Guinness has put India on the first part," said Forest and Climate Change Minister Prakash Javadekar.

RBI has undertaken total rate cut of 250 basis points from Feb 2019: Governor Das

New Delhi, July 11 (ANI): Reserve Bank of India (RBI) Governor, Shaktikanta Das on July 11 talked about the measures taken in the view of COVID-19 pandemic at 7th SBI Banking and Economics Conclave. "From February 2019 onwards, on cumulative basis, we had cut the Repo rate by 135 basis points till the onset of COVID-19. That was done mainly to tackle the slowdown in growth which was visible at that time and we had elaborately touched upon it in our Monetary Policy Committee (MPC) Resolutions," said RBI Governor. "The MPC has decided, as you would be aware, to cumulatively, cut the policy repo rate by 115 basis points. So from February 2019 the total rate cut that RBI has undertaken is 250 basis points," RBI Governor added.

Vizag Gas Leak: LG polymer's CEO, 2 directors, 9 officials arrested

Visakhapatnam (AP), Jul 08(ANI): Visakhapatnam Police arrested 12 people associated with LG Polymer Company in connection with gas leakage on July 07. The gas leakage took place on May 7. Death toll was 11 and more than 1,000 were injured due to exposure to gas. Vizag CP, RK Meena said, "Today we have arrested total 12 members associated with LG Polymer Company. We found evidence against these people on which we have taken action. There are 2 members of Korean nationality, one is the CEO of the company and the other is the technical director. The failed to do their duty and it was found during the investigation."

Unknown miscreants vandalize Dr Babasaheb Ambedkar's house in Dadar

Akola (Maharashtra), Jul 08(ANI): Premises of Dr Babasaheb Ambedkar's house 'Rajgruha' in Dadar was vandalized by unknown miscreants on July 07. Grandson of Dr. BR Ambedkar said, "I appeal everyone to maintain peace. It is true that two men came to Rajgruha and tried to vandalize CCTV camera as well as other things. Police immediately took note of it and all the officers have already reached the spot and are investigating it further. They have done good job hence I request all to maintain peace and not to gather near Rajgruha."

Samsung's UV Sterilizer that also charges device wirelessly announced globally

Govt to soon release SOPs for resuming film production: I-B Minister

New Delhi, July7, (ANI): Minister of Information and Broadcasting, Prakash Javadekar, on July 7 addressed the inaugural address at 'FICCI Frame 2020'. He said, "In view of the epidemic, the government will release the Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) of film shooting in India to speed up the resumption of film production which has so far been stalled due to COVID. "The government is also bringing incentives in all production including TV serial, film making, co-production, animation, gaming. These will be announced soon," he added.

Apache helicopters also have modern Electronic Warfare (EW) capabilities to provide versatility to the helicopter in a network centric aerial warfare. Chinook heavylift helicopter also joined the night operation.
