Amritsar (Punjab), June 08 (ANI): Devotees throng to Golden Temple Amritsar to offer prayers on June 08. Religious places have been permitted to reopen by MHA from today. The devotees have to wear masks and maintain social distancing while entering temple premises. Speaking to ANI, one of the devotees said, "We all must follow social distancing norms and take precautionary measures like wearing masks and sanitizing our hands frequently".
New Delhi/Bengaluru/Sambhal (UP), June 08 (ANI): People gathered at Jhandewalan Temple to offer prayers on June 08. Devotees queue outside Shree Dodda Ganapathi Temple at Basavanagudi to offer prayers. Devotees were also seen offering prayers at Chamunda Temple in Sambhal. Devotees have been asked to not bring offerings to temples so as to curb the spread of COVID-19. Sanitization tunnels have been installed at temple premises to sanitize devotees before entering in temple. Government has allowed reopening of religious places.
Ayodhya (UP), June 08 (ANI): Following the relaxations in the COVID-19 lockdown, Hanumangarhi Temple in Ayodhya is preparing to reopen from Monday in accordance with the Standard Operating Procedure (SOP) issued by Union Home Ministry to prevent coronavirus spread. Mahant Kamal Nayan Das Ji Maharaj said that arrangements have been made at the religious site. Various measures have also been taken to ensure that social distancing is maintained by the devotees throughout their visit. As per some of the guidelines, prasad distribution or a sprinkling of holy water, will not be allowed inside religious places.

New Delhi, June 08 (ANI): Facebook has announced that its new Google Photos transfer tool is now available globally. As per The Verge, the tool was firstly launched in America and Canada in April. The new feature will allow users to transfer pictures, videos, and other media to their Google Photos accounts with just a click. According to Mashable, the entire process requires only a few steps and allows users to transfer a large amount of data to Google Photos. The users can access the tool by visiting the 'Your Facebook Information' menu from the settings of the medium and then selecting the option of 'Transfer a Copy of Your Photos or Videos.' The users will be asked to enter the password for their Google storage service for the transfer to begin.

Chief Minister Uddhav Thackeray's son Aaditya Thackeray was also present during the meeting. After meeting Maharashtra Chief Minister Sonu said, "We have to support all the people who are suffering and need us. I will continue until the last migrant has reached his home. Every party from Kashmir to Kanyakumari has supported and I want to thank everyone for that." Badrinath (Uttarakhand), June 07 (ANI): Famous hill shrine of Badrinath opened on May 15, however without grand ceremony without pilgrims. On June 8, pilgrims will be allowed to visit the temple in accordance to MHA's guidelines. Temple authorities are taking measures to maintain social distancing. Uttarakhand has recorded 869 cases of coronavirus as of June 7. Locals are not in favour of Yatra this year due to COVID scare.
Delhi, Jun 07 (ANI): Sanitisation was done at Fatehpuri Masjid on June 07. Places of worship are set to reopen from June 08, after the Ministry of Home Affairs allowed the opening of places of worship with certain precautionary measures amid COVID-19 outbreak. All the worship places have to follow the guidelines given by the government in order to contain the spread of coronavirus.

Visakhapatnam (Andhra Pradesh), June 06 (ANI): Police arrested workers of Left parties in Andhra Pradesh's Visakhapatnam on June 05. The party workers were going to protest at LG Polymers industry where gas leak incident occurred on May 07. Around 13 persons were declared dead in the chemical gas leakage. The incident took place in RR Venkatapuram village of Visakhapatnam. Speaking to ANI, a police official said, "We arrested them as they hadn't taken permission for protest. FIR filed against 96 people of Left parties."
Surat (Gujarat), Jun 06(ANI): Owners of Surat Textile market faces problem due to shortage of labourers. There are lakhs of labourers from outside of Gujarat who work in these textile markets and are involved in stocking the sarees and dress materials in the godown and in loading the parcels, which are being sent to other states. So without the labourers the market cannot do anything. The owners demanded arrangements to call back workers from their hometowns. The shop owners are facing difficulties due to the shortage of labourers and hence they want to call them back, but are unable to do so as the workers fear their lives. These shop owners have written a letter to the Chief Minister asking for relaxations for the workers who want to return.
Bharuch (Gujarat), June 03 (ANI): At least 5 died and 57 others sustained injuries in a blast that happened at Yashashvi Rasayan Private Limited in Dahej Industrial Estate in Gujarat's Bharuch on June 03. Bharuch District Collector Dr MD Modiya said, "Today at 12 pm, a fire broke out following a blast in a tank at Yashashvi Rasayan Pvt Ltd in Dahej Industrial Estate of Bharuch. 11 fire tenders and ambulances rushed to the spot. Fire has been doused off. Five people lost their lives and 57 others sustained injuries. We have evacuated 4,800 people from two nearby villages, keeping in view that highly flammable chemicals have been stored at the company campus. An inquiry will be conducted in the incident."
New Delhi, June 03 (ANI): While speaking to ANI in Delhi on June 03, the Director General (DG) of National Disaster Response Force (NDRF), SN Pradhan spoke on measures being taken as landfall process of cyclone Nisarga began. He said, "About 43 National Disaster Response Force (NDRF) teams are deployed in the two states; of which 21 are in Maharashtra." "Nearly, 1 lakh people have been evacuated from the cyclone spot," NDRF DG added.

Barbers wearing a face shield, face mask, head cap, and gloves are giving haircut while following the guidelines of maintaining social distancing, and sanitising the equipment after every use. MHA said that only a limited number of activities would remain prohibited throughout the country during Unlock 1.
