Jaipur (Rajasthan), May 15 (ANI): While discussing the quarantine arrangements with the Collectors, District and Sub Divisional level officers through video conference, Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot said that the quarantine system will have to be given special attention to maintain the success been achieved so far in controlling the COVID-19. "Cases of COVID-19 were coming up in the cities till now. To ensure, this infection does not spread to the villages, it is very important to strengthen the quarantine system," he added. CM directed the officials that there should be no inconvenience to migrants and at the same time there should be adequate arrangements for monitoring the people kept in the quarantine. During the meeting Chief Minister said that officers and employees at district and panchayat should make the quarantine system smooth at the rural level. He further said that the people coming by train should be screened at the railway station itself and arrangements should be made

Rajouri (J and K), May 16 (ANI): Border Roads Organisation (BRO) has started the development work on Rajouri-Buddhal and Kandi road amid COVID-19 lockdown. Jobs were provided around 500 labourers in the newly formed union territory. BRO conducted thermal screening of the labourers before they start their work. Sanitisation is being done to contain the spread of COVID-19.

Adequate arrangements have been made for the passengers at the station premises. Passengers were medically screened at the station premises after deboarding train. Auraiya (Uttar Pradesh), May 16 (ANI): At least 24 labourers were killed and several injured after the truck they were travelling in, collided with another truck in Uttar Pradesh's Auraiya on May 16. The injured have been shifted to hospital. "24 people were brought dead, 22 have been admitted and 15 have been referred to Saifai PGI. They were going to Bihar and Jharkhand from Rajasthan," said Archana Srivastava, Chief Medical Officer (CMO) Auraiya.

Bhind (Madhya Pradesh), May 16 (ANI): A clash erupted between two groups in Madhya Pradesh's Bhind amid coronavirus pandemic on May 15. The clash occurred over scanning of a man who returned from a hotspot zone of Delhi. One person has been declared dead and atleast two people got injured during clash. One critically injured has been referred to a hospital in Gwalior for medical treatment. The incident took place in Prem Nagar area of Bhind. Leh (Ladakh), May 16 (ANI): Amidst nationwide COVID-19 lockdown, the district administration of Leh has evacuated stranded people. They evacuated students, pilgrims from different parts on May 15. All the passengers were screened at Khaltsi screening point. Circles are also being made to ensure social distancing norms being followed among all the passengers. Kalaburagi (Karnataka), May 16 (ANI): Former Karnataka minister Dr Sharan Prakash Patil and 22 others have been charged under section 188 of Indian Penal Code (IPC) for violating section 144 of CrPC by conducting a meeting at a convention hall in Sulpeth town on May 13. While speaking to ANI in Karnataka's Kalaburagi on May 15, Dr Sharan Prakash Patil said, "It is politically motivated, officer who filed case was forced by MLA. New Delhi, May 16 (ANI): Facebook has now rolled out its group video chat 'Messenger Rooms' globally. It allows free video calls with up to 50 people with no time limit. The product is a more feature-rich and the rooms can be made either through the main Facebook app or through the dedicated Messenger one. The new feature allows one to set limits on who can join or can make it public to anyone with the link even if they don't have a Facebook account. New Delhi, May 16 (ANI): Several simpler methods apart from nasopharyngeal swab technique are being used to conduct coronavirus testing that may help flatten the transmission curve in order to prevent a sharp spike in cases. One such test is at-Home COVID-19 Saliva Test which is simpler as well as for those who may not be able to go to one of the drive-up testing sites. While the conventional testing procedure follows the procedure of nasopharyngeal swabs, the new test developed by Andrew Brooks requires the suspect to only spit inside a cup. Unlike the conventional testing procedures, the saliva tests can be performed by people at home and sent them to Rutgers clinical genomics laboratory via mail. The results of the test can be ascertained within 48 hours.
Bhubaneswar (Odisha), May 16 (ANI): A special train carrying passengers from Delhi has reached Bhubaneswar Railway Station amid coronavirus pandemic. The train carrying 670 passengers came to Bhubaneswar on May 15. The passengers were screened and stamped for home quarantine, with indelible ink, after reaching at the railway station.
