New Delhi, May 06(ANI): People stood in long queues to get drinking water from the water tanker in Delhi's Chilla village. One of the locals appealed to the government to provide them with two water tankers. He said, "Right now only one tanker comes and it is not fulfilling, if the government provides us with another tanker then we won't face any problem." Another local said, "There are times when we have to go and stand in queue early in the morning to get drinking water."

COVID-19: Doubling rate of COVID-19 in Delhi is 11 days now, says Satyendar Jain

New Delhi, May 06 (ANI): While speaking to ANI in the national capital on May 06 amid coronavirus pandemic, the Health Minister of Delhi, Satyendar Jain said, "The total number of positive cases in Delhi stands at 5104, of which 206 cases were reported yesterday (May 05)." "Total 1468 patients have recovered, while 17 are on ventilators. The doubling rate of COVID-19 in Delhi is 11 days now," he added.

Disinfectant sprayed on people arrived in WB's Hooghly by 'Shramik Special' train amid lockdown 3.0

Hooghly (West Bengal), May 06 (ANI): Disinfectant was sprayed on people who arrived in West Bengal's Hooghly amid coronavirus lockdown on May 05. They arrived at Dankuni railway station from Rajasthan's Ajmer by 'Shramik Special' train. The train carried around 1100 people mainly migrant workers. There are total 1344 confirmed cases of coronavirus in West Bengal. According to the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare, the total number of COVID-19 active cases rose to 33, 514 with 1694 deaths in India.

Thermal screening held at Vidhan Sabha gate as employees return to work amid lockdown 3.0

Lucknow (UP), May 06(ANI): Amid lockdown 3.0 and relaxation guidelines issued by Ministry of Home Affairs, employees reached Vidhan Sabha on May 06. All precautionary measures of COVID-19 were undertaken. Thermal screening of all the employees was conducted at the gate. They were also given hand sanitizers as one of the precautionary measures of COVID-19. Uttar Pradesh has till date reported 2880 COVID-19 cases along with 56 deaths.

Gurugram/ Panchkula (Haryana), May 06 (ANI): People queued up outside a liquor shop in Haryana's Gurugram on May 06 amid coronavirus lockdown 3.0. They were seen standing outside a liquor shop at Sohna Adda Chowk in Gurugram. The state government of Haryana has decided to open retail liquor vends from May 06 except in the areas demarcated as 'Containment Zones'. Retail liquor vends are allowed to open from 7:00 am to 7:00 pm. On the other side, the liquor shops are yet to open in Haryana's Panchkula amid COVID-19 pandemic.

Industries resume work in J and K's Kathua after lockdown 3.0 relaxations

Kathua (J and K), May 06(ANI): Amid lockdown 3.0 and followed relaxations, industries resumed work after COVID-19 outbreak. Labourers welcomed the relaxations with utmost happiness as they have been called back on work. One of the workers at a paper mill factory said, "The labour was getting worried and wanted to go back to their hometown but as Industry has resumed now there is no need to go elsewhere." Bangalore North division cops open fire on accused in Bengaluru

Bengaluru, May 06(ANI): Bangalore North division cops opened fire on a murder case accused on May 06. The convict was accused of a murder case of Bagalagunte Police Station wherein Karan Singh was killed by stabbing in Sidedahalli Road. Accused Prabhu has been fired upon a round on his right knee. 50 Migrant workers reach Patna, complain of no screening, Rs 3500 charged for transportation

Patna (Bihar), May 06(ANI): Around 50 migrant workers reached Patna from Gujarat's Surat on May 05. One of the migrant workers complained that the driver charged them Rs. 3500. COVID-19: Illegal factory making food supplements, medicines sealed in Moradabad

Over 20,000 Bihar migrants want to come back to work in our rice mills: Telangana CM

Hyderabad (Telangana), May 06 (ANI): Chief Minister of Telangana, K Chandrashekar Rao on May 05 said large number of people from Bihar want to come back to work in rice mills in the state. 20,000-22,000 people want to come back from Bihar and we are ready to take them. "The train which is going to Bihar will bring back here, the rice mill workers from there. We are bringing back 1200 such people tomorrow in this manner," he added. "We sent 11 trains today - 5 to Bihar, 1 to Jharkhand, 1 to Rajasthan, 2 to Uttar Pradesh and 2 to Madhya Pradesh. So, 11 trains left from Hyderabad today. I wanted to send 40 trains but we need consent from the concerned states too," he further added.
