But, the festive fervour came alive in a forex sheet after an ardent Pooram lover chose to recreate it using his artistic talent. Sunil Kumar from Chittilappilly, who works as a creative designer at a private firm in UAE's Sharjah, every year comes to Kerala on leave to attend Thrissur Pooram. Hyderabad, May 01 (ANI): Hyderabad International Airport handled one Special Passenger Relief flight to repatriate 101 US citizens. As per the flight itinerary, Passengers were flown to Mumbai to be airlifted for US by the Delta Airlines. Special screening and safety measures were in place during the flight's handling as part of COVID-19 precautionary steps. Till April 30, Hyderabad International Airport has handled 11 evacuation flights serving over 850 foreign nationals who were repatriated by various special relief flights from Hyderabad city to the countries viz. the UK, the UAE, the US and Germany.
Kolkata, Apr 30 (ANI): Chief Secretary of West Bengal, Rajiva Sinha informed that out of 105 deaths reported, 33 people died in state due to COVID-19 while 72 other people who died of COVID-19 were the cases of comorbidity. Sinha said, "On April 30, 37 cases have been reported and 15 cured and discharged. So as of today, total active cases of coronavirus in West Bengal is 572. Total death has seen a jump and as of today the number is 33 in West Bengal because of COVID-19. Altogether 139 people have been discharged. 1905 samples were tested in the last 24 hours. In Expert Committee for Conducting Audit into the Death of COVID-19 patients report, the expert committee has examined 105 people and has said that 33 people have died due to COVID-19 in West Bengal. Incidentally, COVID-19 was found in 72 other people who died of comorbidity."
Raipur (Chhattisgarh), Apr 30 (ANI): Chief Minister of Chhattisgarh, Bhupesh Baghel on April 30 said the state government is arranging for food and accommodation for migrant labourers of Chhattisgarh who were stranded in other states and are returning. He further said, "They will be staying at temporary shelter homes in schools and panchayat bhawans for 14 days." Earlier, the MHA issued a fresh set of guidelines to let migrant workers, students, tourists and pilgrims stranded get back home.
Lucknow (Uttar Pradesh), Apr 30 (ANI): Basic Education Minister of Uttar Pradesh, Satish Dwivedi informed that the department is planning to open schools in July but final decision will be taken as per guidelines of Central and State governments. While speaking to ANI, he said, "In keeping the view of current situation and lockdown, Basic Education Department plans to open schools in July but will take the final decision as per the guidelines of Central and State governments. The state government had taken the decision of closing schools and colleges, way before lockdown was announced, as a part of precautionary measure."
Jammu, Apr 30 (ANI): Principal Secretary (Planning and Information) of Jammu and Kashmir, Rohit Kansal, informed that over 80 per cent COVID-19 cases are asymptomatic in the state. Kansal said, "There are 614 cases of COVID-19 in Jammu - Kashmir out of which 390 cases are active, out of which 384 in Kashmir and 6 in Jammu. 8 patients have succumbed to the disease while 216 others have recovered. Over 80 per cent COVID-19 cases are asymptomatic."
Bathinda (Punjab) / Amritsar (Punjab), Apr 30 (ANI): Pilgrims from Sri Hazur Sahib, stranded in Maharashtra's Nanded, returned to Punjab. As of now, around 3613 such pilgrims have returned to the state. Deputy Commissioner of Amritsar Shivdular Singh Dhillon confirmed that out of these pilgrims, 23 have been tested positive for COVID-19. While speaking to ANI, he said, "23 pilgrims who returned to Punjab from Sri Hazur Sahib in Maharashtra's Nanded have tested positive for COVID-19. They have been shifted to isolation ward at Guru Nanak Dev Hospital."

Speaking further on it, Principal Secretary (Planning and Information), Rohit Kansal, said, "Jammu and Kashmir Administrative Council has approved nearly Rs 350-crore relief package for 8 categories of people affected due to lockdown. Rs 1000 will be given to 1.8 lakh construction workers for 3 months. One month's relief has already been given. Houseboat workers, shikarawalas registered with tourism department, poniwalas, pithuwalas working at Shri Mata Vaishno Devi Shrine Board, Shri Amarnath Ji Shrine Board and different tourism development authorities will be given Rs 1000 per month for 3 months."
New Delhi, Apr 30 (ANI): On being asked if Centre is considering the proposal by many state governments for running special trains to transport stranded people like students and migrant labourers, the Joint Secretary of Ministry of Home Affairs (MHA), Punya Salila Srivastava on Wednesday said, "As of now, the directives are to use buses." Earlier, the MHA issued a fresh set of guidelines to let migrant workers, students, tourists and pilgrims stranded get back home.
