Rajouri (JandK), Apr 27 (ANI): District administration has distributed free ration to the marginalised people of the society in Jammu and Kashmir's Rajouri. The ration was distributed under Prime Minister's package to BPL families. This move comes as a big relief for poor section of the society, as they can't come out from their houses during lockdown. Total 523 confirmed cases and six deaths have been recorded in Jammu and Kashmir due to COVID-19 till now.
Shivamogga (Karnataka), Apr 27 (ANI): Amid coronavirus lockdown imposed across the nation, people were seen buying essentials at Agricultural Produce Market Committee (APMC) in Karnataka's Shivamogga on April 27. People were seen following government norms by wearing masks and maintaining social distancing. The market opens from 6 am to 10 am daily. No positive COVID-19 case has been reported in the district till date. However, in Karnataka total number of COVID-19 cases in Karnataka stands at 501, which includes 18 deaths so far.
New Delhi, Apr 27 (ANI): Equity benchmark indices were in the positive zone during early hours on Monday backed by strong global cues as central banks readied for introducing more stimulus steps to help cushion the economic impact of coronavirus. At 10:15 am, the BSE SandP Sensex was up by 675 points or 2.15 per cent at 32,002 while the Nifty 50 edged higher by 188 points or 2.06 per cent at 9,343. All sectoral indices at the National Stock Exchange were in the green with Nifty auto up by 2 per cent, pharma by 1.9 per cent and financial service by 1.8 per cent. Among stocks, index heavyweight Reliance Industries witnessed a gain of 2.93 per cent at Rs 1,458.55 per share.
New Delhi, Apr 27 (ANI): The Hindu Rao Hospital in Delhi has resumed their services on April 27, after a nurse was tested positive for coronavirus last week. The hospital was temporarily shut for sanitisation. The services resumed include casualty and emergency wards including the flu clinic and the 3 OPDs (Gynae, Pediatrics, and Medicine) with restricted entry of patients and attendants from today.
New Delhi, Apr 27 (ANI): Amid the last week of the extended nationwide lockdown police officials are checking vehicles in every part of the national capital to maintain the lockdown and to curb the spread of COVID-19. Security is being checked at Delhi-Noida Direct (DND) on April 27. Noida-Delhi border was sealed on April 21 and people who perform essential services are allowed to commute from UP border to Delhi. More than 1800 coronavirus positive cases have been recorded in UP while 2625 confirmed cases and 54 deaths have been recorded in Delhi due to COVID-19 till now.
Moradabad (UP), Apr 27 (ANI): Amid nationwide lockdown to curb the spread of COVID-19, IRTS Officers' 'SETU' facility has emerged as a big relief for the people. The SETU helpline allows customers to call and place requests for bulk transport of essentials such as PPE kits, medicines and foods. A person can also directly contact to nearest division to use the facility. SETU has dedicated number 8888261234 which is in service for 24x7. SETU is a voluntary initiative of IRTS Officers, with about 30 probationers and a handful of young officers.

What is special about a lady making masks when most of the people are doing it? Leela is a specially-abled woman and she is making masks which can be an example to the society. She has already made and distributed about 900 face masks in her area, Koothali Panchayath. Leela's legs are short and week by birth because of which she struggles in walking, but despite of the fact, she is a fun loving and a big time animal lover lady. Leh (Ladakh), Apr 27 (ANI): To curb the spread of COVID-19, local authority banned spitting at public places and made compulsory to wear the mask in Leh. Rs 500 will charge who violate the norms. "Local authority has banned spitting at public places. It will help to curb the spread. People will follow this decision here," a local said. The total number of COVID-19 cases in Ladakh stands at 20, which includes 14 cured patients.

In a viral video, people were seen breaking the government norms by not following the social distancing. Surajpur (Chhattisgarh), Apr 26 (ANI): A group of 15 migrant workers are making bamboo tree guards at a relief camp in Surajpur district of Chhattisgarh. This job has been provided them by the Forest Department. Forest Department also provided them with bamboos to make tree guards and they are being paid Rs 200 for making a tree guard so a worker earns around Rs 500 per day. A labourer informed that they hail from Balaghat in Madhya Pradesh. He added, "We have been working since April 20 and have earned over Rs 24,000 so far. We are very happy." District Collector Deepak Soni said, "We are providing them food and other essentials, as we consider them as our guests". Migrant labourers in several states can't go to their hometown due to coronavirus lockdown.

Speaking on the incident, Shahpura SHO Chandrakant Patel informed that accused have been arrested. "A man has been arrested for theft and raping a blind woman at her home in Bhopal in the intervening night of April 16-17. The stolen items are mobile phone, a pair of silver anklets, 2 silver toe rings were recovered from his possession. FIR has been registered," said SHO Patel.
