New Delhi, Apr 16 (ANI): Senior Congress leader Rahul Gandhi said that lockdown is in no way a solution to the COVID-19 pandemic. "Lockdown is in no way a solution to the COVID-19. Lockdown is like a pause button. When we come out of the lockdown, the virus is going to start its work again," said Rahul Gandhi while addressing press conference via videoconferencing.
Thiruvananthapuram (Kerala), Apr 16 (ANI): 25 community kitchens in Kerala's capital Thiruvananthapuram are working round the clock to feed needy amid lockdown. Kitchens are preparing food packets with different delicacies for underprivileged. Kitchens are feeding over 50,000 people daily. Volunteers are ensuring hygiene by wearing protective gears.
Hyderabad (Telangana), Apr 16 (ANI): The coronavirus pandemic scare has adversely impacted supply of Mangoes in Hyderabad. Supply has been reduced to half due to less demand in market. Fruit Commission Agents Association's Vice President Gyaneshwar said, "Supply of mangoes this year is half the supply we received last year. Buyers are also not coming due to COVID-19."
Patna (Bihar), Apr 16 (ANI): Bihar DGP Gupteshwar Pandey said that police won't spare people who attacked or will attack health professionals. "If anyone misbehaves with health worker, medical officer, government employee, magistrate or police we'll take it very strictly. Won't spare them regardless of any approach they might have and any class, caste or religion they belong to," said DGP Gupteshwar Pandey. DGP Gupteshwar Pandey made this statement while reacting on incidents, where some miscreants attacked health and police officials amid nationwide lockdown.
Jaipur (Rajasthan), April 16 (ANI):Discussing with district collectors of various districts and senior officers involved in preventing the spread of corona infection through video conference, Rajasthan Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot said that the main focus should be on 'Ruthless Containment' to contain the disease. Curfew in areas identified as hotspots and lockdown in the vicinity of these areas should be strictly followed. In the meeting CM directed the officials to follow the 'Bhilwara Model', he instructed them to survey every house by forming more teams so that corona infected people are identified on time and further spread could be stopped. Chief Minister also directed to arrange maximum number of quarantine centres. He urged officials to keep a check on rush in hospitals in order to avoid spread. He directed the officials to take proper care of people kept in quarantine. "It is the responsibility of the State Government to take care of people kept in quarantine," he said. During

Doda (Jammu and Kashmir), Apr 16 (ANI): In Jammu and Kashmir's Doda district, a local walked for around 30 kilometer to reach the bank amid the coronavirus lockdown. The local, Ajmal said that there is on one to provide them ration or food in his area. He said, "I walked for 20 to 30 kilometer to withdrawal some money from bank as there are no basic facilities in his area." "No one is giving providing us any ration and food," claimed the local. Jammu and Kashmir has reported 278 positive cases of coronavirus pandemic so far.

Customers are seen following social-distancing at the vegetable market. Vendors are also seen wearing face-masks and hand gloves to avoid coronavirus spread. Chaibasa (Jharkhand), Apr 16 (ANI): A remote-controlled robot 'Co-Bot' has been developed in West Singhbhum district's Chaibasa. It was developed under supervision of District Deputy Development Commissioner Aditya Ranjan. 'Co-Bot' can provide food and medicine to patients without human intervention, amid COVID-19 pandemic.
Meerut (UP), Apr 16 (ANI): Hans Engineering Works in Meerut has paced up manufacturing of PPE kits. AIIMS Delhi has placed order of 1.5 lakh kits. Factory is expected to fulfil the demand within a week. "We are known for manufacturing agricultural tools, however in this hour of need we decided to produce PPE kits for AIIMS," said Hans Engineering Works Director.
Baghpat (UP), Apr 16 (ANI): A Cheetah helicopter of the Indian Air Force made a precautionary landing on April 16 on the Eastern Peripheral Expressway in Baghpat district of Uttar Pradesh. The chopper has now returned to Hindon airbase from where it had taken off.

"We have seized around 29,000 vehicles in the city for violating coronavirus lockdown norms," said Anil Kumar, Additional Commissioner, Traffic, Hyderabad City. Telangana has reported 647 positive cases of coronavirus pandemic so far. Meanwhile, 18 people lost their life due to the deadly virus.

Agricultural produce market committee (APMC) permission and electronic-pass required for the entry at the vegetable market. The sale of vegetables and fruits is also being done here from 6am to 11am and 2 pm to 6pm. The traders were also to going to start following odd-even rule according to their shed numbers to maintain social distancing.
Kollam (Kerala), Apr 16 (ANI): A son carried his 65-year-old ailing father on his back in Kerala's Punalur and walked close to one Km. the police allegeldy did not let him go with auto-rickshaw to hospital due to lockdown restrictions. His father was discharged from Punalur Taluk Hospital on April 15. The State Human Rights Commission has registered a suo moto cognizance based on the incident.
