'Janta curfew': Metro, bus services in UP to remain closed on Mar 22

Lucknow (Uttar Pradesh), Mar 21 (ANI): Ahead of 'Janta curfew' called by the Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Chief Minister of Uttar Pradesh, Yogi Adityanath on Saturday announced that all metro rail, state and city bus services in the state will be closed on March 22. He said, "We all must adhere to 'Janta curfew' called by the Prime Minister. All metro rail, state and city bus services in the state to remain closed tomorrow." In his address to the nation on March 19, PM Modi had appealed to citizens to follow 'Janta curfew' on March 22 in a move to combat Novel Coronavirus pandemic.

COVID-19: CM Yogi announces compensation for daily wage, construction workers

Lucknow (UP), Mar 21 (ANI): Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath briefed on COVID-19 outbreak informing that 23 people were found to be infected and nine people have been recovered. "A total of 23 people have been found to be infected with coronavirus in the state. Out of the total cases, nine people have recovered. We have sufficient number of isolation wards in the state. Rs 1000 each will be given 15 lakh daily wage labourers and 20.37 lakh construction workers to help them meet their daily needs," said CM Adityanath.

COVID-19: Goa govt launches special mobile application for assistance

Panaji (Goa), Mar 21 (ANI): Health Minister of Goa, Vishwajit Rane on the outbreak of COVID-19 on Saturday stated that the state government launched a 'self-assessment interactive app' for coronavirus. He said, "We have launched a self-assessment interactive app on coronavirus. This is the first in the country. We're taking all precautions and discouraging gathering of even 5 people. We don't want tourists coming to Goa till the situation settles." No cases of COVID-19 have been registered in Goa till now. Meanwhile, the total number of confirmed cases in the nation climbed to 285.

COVID-19: AAI takes strict measures at Kolkata Airport

Ahmedabad (Gujarat), Mar 21 (ANI): While addressing a press conference in Gujarat's Ahmedabad on March 20, the Municipal Commissioner of Ahmedabad, Vijay Nehra spoke on coronavirus.
