New Delhi, Mar 20 (ANI): Amid coronavirus outbreak in country, Government of Meghalaya has decided to impose restrictions on movement of public transport and to close all shops, markets and establishments with effect from midnight of March 20 till midnight of March 21, throughout the state. More than 167 positive cases of coronavirus have been registered so far in India. The World Health Organisation (WHO) has declared coronavirus a pandemic.
New Delhi, Mar 20 (ANI): As Delhi High Court dismissed the last minute plea by convicts seeking stay on execution, mother of 2012 Delhi gang-rape victim, Asha Devi is hopeful that she will finally going to get justice today (March 20) morning. Delhi High Court said that no foundation has been given in the petition. It has been filed without any index, list of dates, memo of parties, annexures or any affidavits.
New Delhi, Mar 20 (ANI): After execution of 2012 Delhi gangrape case convicts, Nirbhaya's Mother Asha Devi dedicated the day to all the daughters of the country. While speaking to mediapersons, Asha Devi said, "Finally they have been hanged, it was a long struggle. Today we got justice, this day (March 20) is dedicated to the daughters of the country. I thank the judiciary and government." She further said, "Our daughter is no more and won't return. We started this fight after she left us, this struggle was for her but we will continue this fight in future for our daughters. I hugged my daughter's picture and said 'finally you got justice'."
Bhopal (Madhya Pradesh), Mar 20 (ANI): After Madhya Pradesh Speaker NP Prajapati accepted resignations of 16 rebel Congress MLAs, BJP leader, Shivraj Singh Chouhan said that "der aaye durust aaye". Speaking on it, former Madhya Pradesh chief minister and BJP leader, Shivraj Singh Chouhan said, "Speaker should have accepted their resignations earlier. But 'der aaye durust aaye'." New Delhi, Mar 20 (ANI): People gathered outside the Tihar Jail for the 'Nirbhaya Day'. From the neighbours of Nirbhaya's mother to other men and women of nation came along to mark the day of justice. On December 16, 2012, in South Delhi, a 23-year-old girl (Nirbhaya), was beaten, gang raped, and tortured in a private bus in which she was travelling with her male friend. Today, after more than seven years, Nirbhaya received the justice.

While talking to mediapersons, AP Singh placed a question over Nirbhaya's character and said that one should also ask her mother that why was she out for so late and along with whom? Supreme Court dismissed the petition of death row convict Pawan Gupta against rejection of his mercy plea by the President and seeking stay on execution. Execution will happen at 5:30 am on March 20.
Puri (Odisha), Mar 20 (ANI): Amid growing cases of coronavirus in India, Puri's Jagannath Temple has taken precautionary measure to avoid mass gathering. Entry of tourists and devotees to Puri's Jagannath Temple restricted from March 20 till April 01. Speaking on it, District Magistrate of Puri, Balwant Singh said, "The District Administration of Puri has taken various precautionary measures to combat coronavirus, in the line of state government's instructions and guidelines. Due to large number of devotees at the Jagannath Temple, we found it really difficult to maintain an evitable social distancing. So, in the interest of the devotees and temple administration, we have taken the decision to restrict the entry of tourists and devotees to Puri's Jagannath Temple restricted from March 20 till 1st April 2020." More than 167 positive cases of coronavirus have been registered in India, so far.

They made 'corona drawing book' to spread awareness. The drawing book has been made on the basis of the precautionary measure one should follow during this pandemic. New Delhi, Mar 20 (ANI): Posters put outside Tihar Jail hours ahead of execution of 2012 Delhi gangrape case convicts. These convicts will be hanged on Mar 20 at 5:30 am. The case involves rape and murder of a woman by four men at South Delhi area on December 2012.
Panaji (Goa), Mar 20 (ANI): Goa suspended 'Zilla Panchayat' elections in the view of increasing cases of coronavirus across the country. The 'Zilla Panchayat' elections will take place on March 24. "Respecting the appeal made by Prime Minister Narendra Modi for 'Janata Curfew' on and in the interest of wider participation of electorate in the Zilla Panchayat elections, the State Government in consultation with the SEC has decided to postpone the ZP Polling date to March 24," said Chief Minister Pramod Sawant. However, the date of counting of votes will be decided soon by state election commission.
New Delhi, Mar 20 (ANI): Nirbhaya convicts' lawyer, AP Singh reached at the residence of Supreme Court's Registrar seeking to stay the death warrants.While talking to mediapersons, AP Singh said, "We are seeking urgent hearing and stay on death warrants. We are filing the petition in the Supreme Court, the court is open and working." The Supreme Court will hear the petition of all four death row convicts, seeking stay on execution, at 2:30 am on Friday. The execution will happen at 5:30 am on March 20.

New Delhi, Mar 19 (ANI): The lawyer of convicts in 2012 gang rape case, AP Singh said that he will file a writ petition in Supreme Court against the urgency shown by the President in reviewing the mercy petition of a convict. He said, "Supreme Court dismissed the writ petition for mercy today. The second mercy petition of one of the convict, Pawan Gupta, was rejected today by the President of India. We will file a writ petition against the dismissal of convict's mercy petition in such a short time. We will demand a stay on their execution." The second mercy petition for Pawan Kumar was file on March 18 and it was dismissed by President Ram Nath Kovind on March 19. The convicts in Nirbhaya case are scheduled to be executed on March 20.

New Delhi, Mar 19 (ANI): Nirbhaya's mother, Asha Devi said that the court has confirmed that all culprits will be hanged to death on March 20 at 5:30. Asha Devi said that the prosecution lawyer had applied multiple petitions but all got cancelled. "Finally tomorrow they will be hanged and we all will get justice, Nirbhaya will get justice," she added.
New Delhi, Mar 19 (ANI): Ministry of External Affairs Additional Secretary and Coordinator of COVID-19 Dammu Ravi on March 19 informed that the Ministry is strengthening the Covid Control room. "Right now 25-30 people are working in the control room. They work in shifts. We are getting about 400 e-mails and 1000 calls in a day," added Ravi.

New Delhi, Mar 19(ANI): Health Ministry, Joint Secretary, Lav Agarwal confirmed that there is no community transmission in India. He ensured that proper strategies are in place to trace the first contacts of any positive case identified. "The primary objective of the government is focused towards taking preventive steps so that transmission is not extended and larger people don't get infected," said Lav Agarwal.
