Cuddalore (TN), Dec 05 (ANI): In a shocking incident, tonnes of waste was dumped by workers of a town panchayat in a river in Tamil Nadu. Waste was dumped near Thittakudi in Cuddalore district on December 04.
Barabanki (UP), Dec 05 (ANI): UP Minister, Ranvendra Pratap Singh stated that even Lord Ram can't guarantee a 100% crime-free state in today's time, after a gruesome incident where a rape survivor was set ablaze in Unnao."Even Lord Ram cannot guarantee a 100% crime-free state in today's time. However, it is sure if a crime is committed, the culprit will go to the jail," said Ranvendra Pratap Singh.
Sirohi (Rajasthan), Dec 05 (ANI): A four-year-old child fell into a borewell in Rajasthan's Sirohi. Administration rushed to the spot after knowing the incident and started rescue work. The child is stuck at approx 15.5 feet. A team of doctors is present at the spot and water and oxygen are being supplied to the child. Rescue operation is underway. Sub Divisional Magistrate (SDM) Bhagirath Chowdhary said, "The child is stuck at 15 feet. Water and oxygen have been supplied to the child. A team of doctors is present at the spot; rescue operation underway, a team of SDRF is on its way to the spot."
New Delhi, Dec 05 (ANI): Rekha Sharma, Chairperson of National Commission for Women, on woman who was set ablaze in Bihar area of Uttar Pradesh's Unnao, asserted that the incident happened as she was neither provided security nor the bail of the accused was opposed in the court. "She was set ablaze on the way to court. This has happened as she was neither provided security nor his court bail was opposed to the accused who raped her. I've written to UP DGP seeking details,"said Rekha Sharma.

New Delhi, Dec 05 (ANI): Equity benchmark indices witnessed volatile session and ended lower on December 05 after RBI surprised by keeping its interest rates unchanged. The RBI at its fifth bi-monthly monetary policy meet of the year kept repo rate unchanged at 5.15 percent and lowered its GDP forecast for 2019-20 to 5 percent due to weak domestic and global demand. Nifty metal slipped by 2.3 percent, PSU bank 1.8 percent, pharma by 0.8 percent and auto by 0.6 percent.

"CCTV will be installed in 5,500 DTC and cluster buses, 3 in each. 10 panic buttons and automatic vehicle location system will be set up in each bus. A command centre will be set up for all buses. It'll be helpful in maintaining security of women," said Delhi CM.
New Delhi, Dec 05 (ANI): After Union Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman, in Lok Sabha, said she comes from a family who doesn't have much to do with onions, Minister of State for Health and Family Welfare, Ashwini Choubey, said he has never tasted an onion in his life, and therefore, he wouldn't know about the situation of prices of the bulb. "I am a vegetarian. I have never tasted an onion. So, how will a person like me know about the situation (market prices) of onions," Choubey told ANI. Onion prices in many parts of the country have breached the Rs 100/kg ceiling due to unseasonal rains in producing states.

Malda (WB), Dec 05 (ANI): When news of a rape victim in Uttar Pradesh's Unnao being set on fire by the accused shocked the nation, a similar heinous incident came into surface from West Bengal's Malda where a woman was charred to death at a mango garden in her village. Police have lodged a case and sent the body for the post mortem. Preliminary investigation suggests that the accused used kerosene to set the victim on fire. The victim had filed a rape case against men from her village. Earlier today, a rape survivor was set on fire by the accused and other men in Unnao when she was heading to a local court.

"P Chidambaram has violated his bail conditions on the very first day. IK Gujral had said to Narasimha Rao that time to deploy the army. However Army was not deployed. If Army has been deployed then, the massacre could have been averted. Around 2000 lives could have been saved," said HS Phoolka. Unnao (UP), Dec 05 (ANI): A woman was set-ablaze in Bihar area of Unnao. Victim referred to hospital in Lucknow. Out of five, police rounded up four accused. Victim had earlier filed a rape case against one of the accused. Further investigations are underway.
