Jogi is charged of forging caste certificates. Mysuru (Karnataka), Sep 06 (ANI): Rehearsal for the elephants which will take part in a parade during 'Dasara festivities' began in Mysuru on September 06. Bengaluru, Sep 06 (ANI): While talking on Chandrayaan-2, Space Scientist RC Kapoor said that they are waiting for smooth and hazard free landing. "We have waiting for this day from a very long time and you may remember that Chandrayaan-2 has been proposed even before the Chandrayaan-1 was launched. Now it is ready and both gadgets are going on their respective orbits," he further added. Chandrayaan-2 Vikram lander will make a soft landing on the surface of the Moon in the early hours of Saturday (September 7). The Vikram lander is scheduled to make its soft landing between 1.30 am to 2.30 am.

Patna (Bihar), Sep 06 (ANI): Hindustani Awam Morcha (HAM) leader and former Bihar Chief Minister Jitan Ram Manjhi on September 5 accused the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) and Janata Dal (United) of spreading lies and making false promises to the people of the state. Agra (Uttar Pradesh), Sep 06 (ANI): Nineteen prisoners who had completed their respective sentences but were serving extra time because of their inability to pay penalties here at the district jail were freed on Thursday after Satymev Jayate Trust paid off Rs 5.40 lakh fine on their behalf. "The trust has paid a total of Rs 5.40 lakh penalty for the prisoners who were not able to do so. They have taken the pledge that they will not engage in crime again," said Mukesh Jain, trustee, Satyamev Jayate trust. Last month, 21 prisoners were released on Independence Day after a businessman paid penalties to the tune of Rs 1.73 lakh on their behalf.

Indore (Madhya Pradesh), Sep 06 (ANI): Indore Special Task Force (STF) has arrested a man for smuggling the skin "Kind Leopard's", a rare leopard species, in the international market on September 05. The three accomplices of the accused person, Ghaffar, were caught by the forest department with the nails of the same species of King Leopard in November 2018, last year. Soon after that, the police carried out a search operation to find the then missing accused Ghaffar who is allegedly involved in tiger skin smuggling. "We have apprehended Gaffar with leopard skin which is worth crore of rupees. Ghaffar's companions, Shakir Maulana, Shiva Baba and Baldev were first caught by the forest department. Soon after that, we had started searching for Ghaffar. Forest department had even announced a cash price reward for finding Ghaffar. The family intends to make the city single-use plastic free. Surendra Bairagi said, "My wife makes these bags using old clothes, we have distributed hundreds of these bags to people." Asserting on the hazard of single-use plastic on environment, Prime Minister Narendra Modi on August 15 urged people and shopkeepers to eliminate the use of plastic bags completely.

New Delhi, Sep 06 (ANI): While people looking to quit smoking might find e-cigarettes as a viable option, a new study has found it might not be so. Similar to traditional cigarette smokers, e-cigarette users reported worse sleep than individuals who did not use cigarettes. The findings of this study were published in the 'Journal of Sleep Research'. Researchers included a total of 1,664 college students, 41 per cent of whom reported ever trying or currently using e-cigarettes. The other 29 per cent reported ever trying or currently using traditional cigarettes. And the findings noted that across all groups, average sleep scores indicated poor sleep for most students. The users of e-cigarettes even reported greater use of sleep medications than traditional cigarette users. Study stated that even an irregular use of e-cigarettes was linked with deteriorating sleep.
New Delhi, Sep 06 (ANI): After launching in 19 other countries, Facebook Dating, the social networking giant's dating service, is now live in the US for users aged 18 and above. Facebook Dating profile will also allow users to integrate their Instagram posts directly into their profile along with the ability to add their Instagram followers into their Secret Crush lists, the official blog explains. The Dating profile works separately from the main Facebook profile and the activities of the Dating profile are not shared on the main profile. People are suggested based on preferences, interests, and other engagements on Facebook. Users can comment directly on a profile or tap on the Like button to let them know. By the end of this year, Facebook plans to add the ability to add Facebook and Instagram Stories to the Dating profile as well.
